Thief would trick George Lucas into signing over all rights for Star Wars and the Star Wars characters to him. Darth Vader would then be forced to bow to his will. Theif could retire on the royalties alone.
Lion-o vs Inu Yasha. Keeping in mind that Lion-o's strong enough to snap very large trees in half with the back of his arm (happened in the first fight with Mumm-Ra.)

Physically, Lion-O and Inuyasha are probably the same, though I'd give Lion-O a strength advantage, and Inuyasha some speed (Though that might be the bad 80s animation).
But, the Sword of Omens is just a normal sword compared to Inuyaha's sword, so Inuyasha wins.

As a loyal Nightmare player, I am obligated to vote for my character.
But as a knowledgeable anime fan, I acknowledge that Guts would probably win.

The Soul Edge's powers are pretty ambiguous. Cervantes was able to ressurect his entire crew as immortal skeletons using it, and it more or less turns the user into a death knight which is a pretty powerful template. We really don't get to see everything it can do in the individual matches, especially because it spends so much time broken.
Of course, I don't know anything about this other character, but I'm going with Nightmare, even though Cervantes is so much cooler with the Soul Edge. Edit: The sword of omens was magical enough to hurt Superman. Yeah, they had a crossover comic.

Lion-o loses just based on his cheesy-ness factor. I mean...c'mon! Gimme a friggin break here.
Thunder... Thunder!... Thundercats!...HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Uh...Inuyasha (I don't like him much) wins... As for the other fight... I'm calling a "I don't know since I don't know who Guts is." Yep, I'm not very knowledgable on anime...sue me... Gandalf (the white) versus Black Mage. Who would win? (Please, include as much humor as possible for that one!) |

I admit, the soul edge is a better sword than Guts and the bluntness may affect his attacks big time.
but, Guts went into a twisted universe and slaughted all the Dr.Seuss rejects with one of their horns!

Damnit, I want to hear Black Mage versus Gandalf the White!...
Hmm... But now that I think about it...what would win? Boxers or briefs?...::dramatic music resounds in the distance:: |

Actually the sword of omens could reflect any energy directed at it. The signal could be used as an attack, which was fairly decent. He could call the sword to him. I think he might have a fair chance considering the Tetsusaiga doesn't transform unless he is fighting something with a powerful demonic aura.
