As for :rmage: , this comic did immediately remind me of that comic 193. He'll clear up sometime, the stabbing just accelerated the process. A good week without food will do the same. Or make it worse, perhaps. But it won't come that far. I think RM will just follow BM over the landbridge, trying to catch up with him to resume the 'bridge' discussion. And after reaching the other side, he'll take all the credit.

Well, my theory is that RM will be vital to obtaining the Fire Orb.

Though originally, I figured BM more suited to that element...

in the real world this is true. But in FF or any other RPG if you have fire-proof armor you can cross lava plain and simple. Though I think in Zelda you needed an extra power up but the dragon made armor to cross lava. Fighter is wearing it, thus he can cross lava

I didn't have any trouble with this comic. Have you ever known someone who was so stuck on their own agenda that they'd completely forget what the actual situation is? For example, here's a summary of a conversation I heard yesterday:

"When were you born?"
"Which time?"
"The time your mother had you, when you got your birth certificate. Not when you were born again."
"That wasn't the most important time."
"Yes, but when was it?"
"July."
"July when?"
"July 28."
"So you're a Capricorn?"
"No, I'm a Christian."

The conversation was actually much longer and had more of a "Who's on First?" quality. Be glad my memory isn't that good. My point is that the guy was asked a simple question, when his birthday was, and turned it into a religious issue because that's what was on *his* mind. With real people acting like this - and, living in the Bible Belt, I see it a lot! - it's not hard at all to assume that Red Mage started going on about one of his stat-building overelaborate tasks and couldn't see the forest for the trees he was planting.

Trust me, most Christians aren't that stupid. Most of them really aren't stupid at all.

Anyways, how is it that Red Mage, even in that special "crossed wires" mode, didn't see the land bridge? You'd think that he'd have seen it in addition to the lava.

Maybe a cartoonist did it.

As I said with last update, BM is FINALLY learning that stabbing is not a viable solution, and certainly not a permanant solution.

Plus, he may be realizing that people can suffer far more when left to their OWN devices. It's working with RM, isn't it?

About the fire armor, Didnt the dragon make it so they wouldnt burn up when he(the dragon) carried him over? before his heartburn problems?

And if you think its going slow, just think how long it took to go over the other four lava lakes(not counting the one they went over twice)
