Hmm... I noticed that stuff happen whilst I was away from my thread... Sorry if I've seemed like an Ass, I'm just trying to get some ideas, not flames, which just happens to be all I'm recieving. A few things.

1. Damn, they chose the worst time possible to Screw me, although I am honored, because I am working on a huge update of the "Original 16", where I rework the jokes, especially comics like 3, where noone gets the joke, and comic 16, where I stupidly used a neon filter to remake an old comic and call it filler, and also changing it to my new Black template!

2. I was kidding when I said I wouldn't change it. I already did, if you want to know. I haven't uploaded the comics yet, cause I want to wait for them all to be done.

3. I'm just asking, how is BM like Black mage? He doesn't have a short temper, he doesn't hate his comrades, etc.

4. Darklight, you are an idiot. The point of this thread is to help me make my comic better, and not flame me to bits. You weren't even specific with your flame.

5. I'm sorry, but if I get flamed EVERY time I kill anything, so what? Guess what? Brian didn't invent killing. I should be allowed to have BM kill someone without everyone killing me! OK? I'm sorry...

6. Oh, by the way, it IS hard to do a deep, thoughtful recolor of 8 bit sprites...

7. Mods, please don't ban the thread. I'm sure that if Darklight doesn't come back, this will be a good, respctable thread... Besides, as pendej said, I need the help.

Oh, and SMC 27 is gonna be here in a bit. Another new member is joining the club! He is Snow Mage!

Just a tendency I have noticed, UZ. You ask for help, and when people give comments (granted not always kind, but anyone with fans will also have enemies, so get used to it) you decide to argue with them rather than at least try their suggestions for a strip or two.

You realize, of course, that since this forum is attached to 8bit, anyone who reads your comic from here will be reading it as a long-time 8bit fan? It's inevitable that they would be hypersensitive to similarities.

My advice: keep trying, and develop a thick skin. But I think you should TRY a rework of a strip or two with the things people have suggested, like you started to with the speech lines, rather than argue it. And it's hard for some people to not sound irritated with you here, because the way you word things tends to be rather insulting lately. If you can't take harsh criticism now and then, well, I don't think you're going to last long. Making these will be a chore, rather than fun.

So go, prove me wrong. Keep trying.

Well, if you lighten up a little, then I'm sure things would change. C'mon, you better relax, and take things better than attacking the opinions. Of course, you are bound to disagree with people, but that doesn't mean they intend harm on you. After all, they are suggesting.

Cause we don't do that much around here.

I guess the attitude that comes across is that you ask for help, then argue or get offended when somebody indicates something wrong.

Anyway, I suggest going solo on these comics. Creating humor doesn't work well in commitee, and I don't think you should have to front for work you didn't do and don't feel proud of. Then we can give feedbock on work that is YOURS, rather than on something you can't change because it was someone else's.

Yeah, mixing humor from multiple sources tends to create big jumbling messes.

Analogy: Folks like RPGs, shooters, and extreme-sports-games, right? Would those three templates blended together create a satisfactory result? I don't think so.

OK, noone seems to understand. (And nobody has been to my website either, by the look of things.) UZ and the gang doesn't work together on our comics, we just all make comics and host them on the same site. Sorry for any confusion about that. El Jonno was the guy who introduced me to Sprite comics, and he made the first SMC for me to give me an example. Other than that, and EJ's guest comic, I made every SMC myself. El-J is *normally* in control of Southman, however, his computer is broken, and I'm doing it every so often now. Rage's 3 steps to... is made by Jacques. Pook University is made by Jedinator. PoX and Cheese Meister contribute to the UATG manga. Everyone does different stuff.
