Indeed, TLF is a law student, and May or may not be working on his Finals. However, I caught him for about 5 minutes last thursday and he said he was busy (I've already said this in an earlier post) and he needed help with some action element of flash. Apparently not even legendary frog could help him, so *shrugs* ANYways, yes. I hate to burst any bubbles, But I don't think anybody with any influence other than Tacoriffic has been listening to recent submissions. Pizza's been a little Blah lately in terms of 8-bit. He usually gets this way when TLF decides to disappear. And I wasn't listening to any to begin with. I'm not sure about Rhyos' status. Maybe he's been listening. AAANYway, I'm thinking maybe It'd be a good time for anyone who's already submitted to stop submitting, because Chances are we have it, but we just haven't heard you yet.
So, don't lose hope, but don't get your hopes up. It's entirely possible that TLF will go AWOL forever and we'll never see Episode 4 come to fruition, unless we got a new animator. And, Mutiny's not our style. heh, we love our TLF. Anyways, yes. That's all from the big giant head. *sneeze* Keep up the sportsmanlike behaviour and general good-will. Makes me happy. |

That's SIR Thief to you!

``` This is another thing that the new BM's gonna have to put up with. TLF tends to be like this, phasing in and out of existence. As was said earlier, there were times when we wouldn't see or hear from him for months, and all of a sudden, he's like "OMFGLET'SDOANEW8-bITGIMMELINES!!!!!!11111!!112112one". It's not a sort of project where you're constantly devoting yourself to it. It's more like 72 hours of devotion, then some waiting, and then another 72 hours! :thief:
Auditions are now CLOSED.
I apologize profusely for no being able to frequent these boards as often as I was a few weeks ago. Indeed, I did fall off the face of the earth, and now I'm back...sorta. Anyone who goes to the University of Florida, drop me a line and I'll show you a bitchin presentation involving, Fighter, Thief, and Japanese Culture. Right now I'm at home enjoying the company of my family and trying to get rid of a nasty virus that I've been battling for the past few weeks. Therein lies my excuse, take it for what it's worth. Again, AUDITIONS ARE CLOSED. Have we made a choice? No. We'll probably make a choice in early January seeing how far back I am in reviewing the files. I estimate around 300 have been sent in. I appreciate all the posting that Starky, Rhyos, and Taco have done in my absence, you guys are great. Except that little remark about replacing me Starky, you're now fired. |
You can't fire me! I quit!...wait...we're not even doing anything yet...Guess the firing, quitting, and eventual reinstatement are all moot. Back on the 'job' we go!
Also, I'll fire YOU! Also: http://hatebunny.deviantart.com Because I just can't not be a pimp...can't stop using double negatives and split infinitives either. Ah well. Let's all hope TLF's flu is better, and that the best BM will be chosen, and that I still have a job, because As I've said before, I really don't have any life beyond weekly humps, http://theninhotline.com , this hellhole, and deviant art. Besides, It's not like we're getting paid....*shakes fist at 250,000 viewers who donate a total of 60 dollars*.... Edit: no, you can't really do anything to help, I'm afraid...unless you can think of a sound editor more awesome than Cool Edit, and don't mind a little bit of software privateering. *cough* Well, come to think of it, Anyone who hopes to be BM, It'd be good if you could pronounce everything clearly. Like, VERY clearly. Half our complaints came because people couldn't understand our BM with all the effects and his whispering. So, try to speak clearly, and try to avoid any background noise beyond the general noise produced by your crappy-ass mic. (Don't try to argue with me. It's crappy-ass.) For example: If, like mine, Your father whom you happen to live with drinks ONLY beer, and in a drunken stupour plays the same song on the piano at 15 minute intervals, calling it Jingle bells or The first Noel, when we all know damn well it's the Midnight Special, and by some freak accident of fate, you're recording your lines at that precise moment, PLEASE take all precautions necessary to make sure that the mic doesn't pick it up. Music is unbearably hard to edit out of speech files. Dig it. Wow, long edit. AAANYway, Thank YOU for making my job possible, Matthew Newman of South Carolina. Your sister is hot, and your mic had background noise of Satan. Last edited by Dj_StarChild; 12-23-2003 at 02:49 AM. |
ME rich? The fellow is a miser! I've seen neither hide nor hair....and besides...It's all like...American -> Canadian currency blah blah blah....He deserves it anyway. Flash is considerably harder than say...talking...or...*highlight, cut, paste, highlight, filter, highlight cut, paste* = Yay soundfile.
DJ_StarChild - I have yet to find a sound editor better than Cool Edit Pro 2.0, which I use for all of my stuff.
