Hehe.
He has forearms like Popeye. And a waist like Paris Hilton. Or someone else that doesn't eat anything but steam. Thank you for your input, AJ. ^^

Very nice Demon. To make it seem more natural to the eyes, I would shorten the arms (as Arlia pointed out) and widen the stomcah/hips. Right now it kind of looks you're trying to forshorten, or like the stomach is further back from the picture plane than the reast of the picture. But that's just IMO.
Very nice nonetheless Demon, I am jealous of your clean lineart.

"The idea here, however, is to create proportions that are irregular, and build them up to the point where the mind accepts them as natural, or asthetically pleasing."
Perhaps you should have him bend his back forward a little bit so that it looks like he is just stooping to pick something up instead of being a knuckle dragger. It's hard to fool the eye with a perfect erect stance.

Er, here's some stuff I did. yay?
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...attonchibi.gif I frequently use Oekaki to draw my stuff online, and here's something I whipped up one day. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...ekekicrap2.bmp Another Oekaki. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...n/baoExile.png Oh noes! One that's not oekaki! As you can see, I'm a big fan of Knights of the old Republic. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75...n/BmDream1.gif Oh-em-gee! An actual Nukpwr fan art! this was done a few years ago, however, when i first started reading the comic. |

Tip to the new people: Save in .PNG instead of .JPG or .GIF. Your computer loves you if you do so.
Also, Zeig, it looks none too shabby. But the lines under his eyes are too heavy. It's as if his eyes lie extremely deep in his skull. Either make his eye-browes thicker or make those lines under his eyes lighter or do not draw them alltogether. But like I said, it's not too bad. Anyway, here's another one of mine. I used reference to draw the posture. Besides that, I drew him myself. I also added him in negative as it looked pretty neat. I like this way of drawing, a crossbreed of Manga and semi-realistic. I am still working on the nose though as it looks odd... Enjoy! ps: It's manga-me donning Melfice's armour. ![]()

Zeig, I'll just give a few helpful pointers.
It's kind of hard to tell which way the face is looking, at first glance, it looks like it's looking straight forward, then it kind of looks like it's looking off to the side a bit. The one thing I wanted to point out the most it that his face seems a bit too large. Normal human proportions are: your face is 5 eyes wide (the length of your eye horizontally) and there is a space approximately 1 eye long in between your eyes. Of course it varies from person to person, and it's anime, so it bends the rules a little, but proportions still are taken into account, no matter what you're drawing. That's all I wanted to point out. Very nice otherwise though. EDIT: I just uploaded some random sketches from art class, and I thought I'd share them (sorry they are kind of hard to see) They are are a study on the face. eyes- ![]() nose/mouse - ![]() eyes/mouth- ![]() angles-
