I seem to have the easiest time drawing single charaters from anime series. Right now I'm working on one of Inuyasha that might make it up here by next week.

So that's how you manage to keep the quality in your lines.

I havn't had a working Mechanicle pencil in 3 years and have been stuck with the 2mm wide hand sharpened ones.

They make it allot harder to do any details without extremely large paper and my scanner can't handle paper large enough.

I know you are suposed to be able to sharpen them fine enough for anything but I also have not been able to find a quality pencil sharpener that would properly shave the lead down to a razor point in about 8 years.

My Latest Sketch is an Avariel that I had to UL to NP and is now residing in the Off Topic board in the Unusual D&D Character thread

Cool. I look forward to seeing it. I'm afraid that I don't watch much anime, so I'm out of suggestions for you.

[edit] as to sharpening of pencils, the irony is that I do end up sharpening the pencil - 0.7 is too large to produce fine lines, so if I want a fine line, I sharpen the lead with a pen knife. It's still easier than sharpening a normal pencil (I never had much luck with those - the lead always broke), and the size allows for better shading (I feel). [/edit]

Sharpeners with two sharpening hole thingies in them, each a different size, are really good; they get pencils real sharp. I have one I got at Staples for a dollar that I've been using with my colored pencils for about a year now. And if you can't find a sharpener like that, an Xacto knife can be used to sharpen things very well; just be careful not to cut yourself. Those things are SHARP.

I havn't been able to find a dual sharpener, with decently beveled blades in years.

That is what I mean by not finding one.

As for the X-acto's, allong with caution, take into account they started out by making Surgical knives and still make them with the same beveling equipment.

I only use just a plain old #2 pencil for all my drawings. Sometimes if I am going to have someone color my drawing I would then I would out line it in ink for smoother lines. Look back at some of the drawings I have posted in the thread. They are all with the same #2 style pencil.

when I draw, that is when i get around to drawing and have the inspiration to do so, I use a 0.3 mechanical pencil with H or HB lead. I prefer to use H for the hard lines and HB for shading, or any shading.
(also posted in the Unusual D&D character thread[I also removed my last name 'cause i'm paranoid about that kinda stuff. Just in case some of you were wondering about that)

I love your style Selan

And QQ hehe awesome as always.

Oh well i'm almost done with my current drawing, but in meen time i'll post some older ones, and yes QQ these are da same ones as before ¬.¬

My first drawing, i spend like 5 days on it. Suprisingly the design on the glove was easy.

Yes the head is very disproportionate on top one i know ¬.¬ was bored and didn't realy intend to draw the whole thing, so i just went quick for the head. (yes thats suposed to be blood on hand n such) P.S. sry for the see threw writing on back, girl in my Science class decided to write on back of paper.

I was just dieing to draw this for a long time so i finaly did. Had to redraw the pistol so many times -_-

Saw an awesome wallpaper online and decided to draw it.

Was drawing cover of Hellsing Volume 2... lost intrest after kept getting PO'ed bout the hands. Been slowly working on it every now n then.

I loved how this one came out, even putting aside the fact that people in my school threatened to rip it to peieces if i didn't fix her chest.

Drew it for a contest on another forum. I got 3rd outa like 7.

EDIT: why do IMG thing's hate me and never post actual picture... lil help..

EDIT2: That should fix em
