After a long hiatus of not drawing...I'm still not really drawing. Right now I'm trying to work on drawing people...and I kinda made this quick little sketch during my physics class.

Excellent, madhatter! The shading is very good indeed.

Well, here is my latest. It didn't come out as well as I'd have liked, but it didn't come out too badly.

Default w00t!

Many fine artworks, indeed!

I really like your sketch,
madhatter, and Thaumaturge, I'm always a fan.

As for
Mr. Viewiful's question two pages ago, I've been drawing since I was 5 and thats when I discovered the first sign of my talent and since then it's really just shaping a fine line of reality into an image so that common sense has a hand in the image. This also applies to MoM's question with clothing folds, because if you think about it fabric bunches up and lines appear in these bunches with the way fabric has pulls and gathers. It's again common sense and thinking about it with gravity and force in mind.

To
chryos, go right ahead with your comic idea.

Oh, yes, sorry, I forgot to answer chryos. Go ahead, if you want to use me in the comic.

Thanks for the praise, QQ! I look forward to your next submission.

Thank you all for the kind words. I didn’t think it was really all that good but I won’t argue with you ^^;

I tried reading the Pern books but didn't like them, I'm not much of a fantasy novel fan. Dragons always pop up in my work, though. I've had a dragon fetish since I was very little.

Thaum: I really like this one. There’s lots of movement and conveys a very autumn-ish feeling.

As soon as I get a roll of film developed I'll have another thing to post in this thread. Stupid digi cam butchers everything.

I loved the shading Thau and Madhatter. Both of you are soooo good at it.

By the way, Thau, did you do that in pencil? If so, how long did it take you? That looks like it would take forever.

I posted this before, but I don't think anyone saw it inside that post of mine. So here it is agian:

Oh, and I've been wanting to start coloring. So I thought I'd ask, what do you guys use? 'Course, since I'm broke, It'll probably be a free trial if I get software, though I think I can afford pens/markers/what-have-you. All suggestions are welcome!
Surely you aren't just ignoring me! I just want to try and color some of my better lineart.

I love fantasy novels (but there's room for all kinds in this world, no?), and despite my name, I also love dragons. There's just something cool about a giant reptile with wings, huge claws/teeth, and a deadly breath weapon...
