So we are clear
|
also Spoiler Alucard is a decedent of Dracula. That is why he is so strong /spoiler
Anyways thing about the manga is it stops short. Thing is it was made before the manga was completed, they didn't even get to the Nazis

*reads spoiler*
The way I read it, the manga implies that he might have *been* Dracula before he got defeated by Professor VanHelsing. Hence his name being "Dracula" backwards. What exactly did the anime do after Luke and Jan invaded Hellsing?

The truth of about Alucard is:
BIG SPOILER for VOLUME 7!!! Alucard IS Dracula. During the battle with the Vatican and Millenium groups in the heart of London, Alucard unlocks all the seals on his power and douses the city in an ocean of blood. He summons all his familiars, who are actually the souls of all the peoples he's devoured, including Tubalcain, Rip Van Winkle, several Turkish soldiers, and an army of undead Welchian skeletons on horseback, and even a couple Popes! A fact that didn't set so well with Anderson. During the whole thing, Alucard shouts, at the top of his lungs: "I AM THE DEVIL!! I AM DRACULA!!!!" After that he starts walking around in his true form, which can be seen here: http://www.bloodknight.net/Manga/Pictures/Cover60.jpg That's Vlad himself all the way. Quote:
It basically didn't look as plausible in the anime as it did in the manga. In the manga it made it clear that Hellsing had never before encountered or considered the idea that ghouls could somehow be made into a well-armed fighting force. Also the anime made Alucard look like an uncaring lazy-ass who just sat around waiting for Luke while his master was in danger. In the manga, he and Walter come up with a plan where he and Seras will go up to Integra and protect her, while Alucard stayed behind to mop up the ghouls from the basement up. Also, in the manga, Integra is the one who breaks Seras out of her trance when she goes berserk, and she looks rather shocked and caring when she does it. In the anime, Walter just shouts Seras's name and poof! She's out of the trance. In the anime, Jan doesn't mention the Millenium organization. Last edited by Majin Darshe; 05-16-2005 at 02:21 PM. |
