"What the... Where did everyone go? And what the hell was that dragon?" Megaman then takes a look at the seal. "Any ideas on how to open up this seal? If we are here to rescue the princess, then we gotta open this up."

Link shrugged. "I don't know. Whenever I go rescue someone, I usually have to collect a bunch of magical items. Besides, we should let Alex and his magical box check it out."

Alex walked forward. "That was Zephyr, the Guardian of Hope. Summoning it here was Rudy's doing. Overkill, if you ask me, but it stopped Garland from getting away. I'm still trying to figure out what he meant by 'master,' though; he doesn't work for anybody but himself, as far as I know." He knelt down next to the seal that had replaced the portal. "Normally, this portal leads to the Chaos Shrine as it existed two thousand years in the past, but this time around, I doubt that's where Sara ended up. We need to reopen the portal somehow..." He thought hard. "I know I've seen this marking somewhere before, in a game... but which one?" Alex racked his brain trying to remember.

In the near silence, a muffled voice could be heard from somewhere out in the main hallway.

Garet looked at the portal. "First the return of out foes, now this. Well, if we're gonna rescue the princess we might as well go through with opening it." He looked behind himself and stared at the hallway. "I think we should just ignore it, get the portal to work, grab the princess, and leave. Then we can find out what that creepy voice is." Garet prepared himself, then looked behind him. "C'mon lets go!"

Link pulled Garet back. "Wait a minute. I think I heard something... and where were you gonna jump, anyway?" He then looked around and noticed a chest. "Hey, what's that?" he wondered out loud as he approached it. He gave it a good look before opening it.

(Your cue, Newb.)

Ezlo looked up as Link opened the chest.

"Oh good! You found me! I'm so glad. How is the princess doing?"

Ezlo said as he leapt on top of Link's head.

[Link has now equipped {Ezlo} to his {helm} slot]
