On another note, Inbred Chocobo: You can't fire a ton of Crash Bombs all at once. You have to launch one, then wait for it to detonate before launching the next. That's how it worked in the game, anyway.

IC: Alex looked at Barret. "Now I know what it feels like to be left in the back of the party while other people do the fighting." He sighed.

Meanwhile, Megaman's Crash Bomb hit Cut Man dead-on. He tried to break it off with his blade, but it detonated anyway, leaving a large scorch mark on his face in addition to disabling the robot's left arm. Cut Man turned to glare at Megaman before hurling his Cut Boomerang with all his might.

Garet's Avalanche spell did a number on Saturos, but failed to slow him down. Instead, Saturos simply countered the move with a blinding Heat Flash, causing Garet to become disoriented for a brief moment.

Garland watched from the shadows, standing over the unconscious form of Princess Sara.

Rudy would have been astonished, but he was too busy bleeding. That didn't stop him, however, from preparing a nice suprise for Cutman. He used his Defender ability to deflect Cutman's blade from Megaman and then fell a powerful blow on the damaged side of the iron demon hoping to cleave open it's armor. 'I hope this isn't a mistake,' Rudy thought to himself, looking at Megaman and noticing that he too was iron clad. 'If these two are rejects of the Holmcross project, then I could be in a lot of trouble.'

[Bailey]

Ezlo cheered as Link restored Zelda to life.

"You'll be a real hero yet!"

Then, a strange portal opened and Ezlo was pulled off of Link's head, and found himself surrounded by darkness.

When he awoke, he found himself inside a chest.

"Hey! What happened! I say, someone let me out! What's going on?!"

After a while he calmed down

"Guess I'll just have to wait for someone to come by and take me out of here. Suppose I had best familiarize myself with this world first."

He reached out with his mind and began to examine what little he could see

(Eh... I attacked, but will assume I got sent back by Saturos. Eh.)

Link was sent flying backwards by Saturos' attack, stunned. "How strong... but if the Switch Hook worked like that, then maybe..." Quickly, he pulled out his Seed Shooter, loaded it with Gale Seeds, aimed at Saturos, then fired.

(What he plans to do is send Saturos backwards. While the Gale Seeds normally sends enemies flying and destroying them, Saturos is too strong. He'll be pushed backwards, might even fly, then will crash down.)

Rudy's blade sank deep into Cut Man's side. The robot stared at it for a moment before starting to convulse and spit sparks. He fell to the ground, broke into several pieces, then vanished. Garland, upon seeing the loss of one of his new allies, stood next to the black crystal in the center of the chamber and began to chant under his breath.

Saturos was caught by surprise as a Gale Seed hit him, knocking him off his feet. "Blast! If Menardi were here, I'd show these interlopers a thing or two!" He climbed to his feet, angrier than ever but badly injured.

Link decided not to take any risks. Trading the Gale Seeds for the Mistery Seeds, he shot one towards Garland.

Garet took the moment of oppertunity and rushed at Saturos with a deadly attack (at least he thought it was). "You won't be leaving this time", Garet said as he lunged his sword at the injured Saturos. "Menardi isn't here to save you now."

When Cutman started to fall, Megaman decided to try something. As he fell into peices, Megaman grabbed his head and started to absorb his power. Once done, he threw the head away and switched to his new weapon. "Let's see how this works." He said as he fired his new weapon at Saturos.

'A scavenger of ARM's. I wonder what he's already found. Got to remember to keep a lookout for new powers.'

Not feeling up to another sword fight, Rudy backed up and started charging power again. Hopfully, Zypher, gaurdian of Hope, could bring an end to this. That is, if he could summon him before Garland finished whatever he was planning. Rudy took out the gaurdian's rune and began his own chant, trying to finish before Garland.

Garet's sword and Megaman's new Cut Boomerang connected before Saturos had a chance to raise his own sword and parry. "Aaargh! Not again!" he shouted as he fell, then disappeared.

Garland continued chanting despite being hit with a Mystery Seed, which stung a little but had no other effect. Suddenly, he raised his arms and the Black Crystal vanished, leaving behind a mysterious-looking portal. Grabbing the unconscious Sara, he shouted, "You imbeciles will never stop my master's plans! If you continue to interfere, he will KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN!" With that, he threw the princess headfirst into the portal and prepared to jump in after, but suddenly stopped. An enormous black dragon had emerged from a massive sigil that now covered the floor, and grabbed Garland in its clawed fist. This dragon, known as Zephyr, the Guardian of Hope, proceeded to fling Garland against the wall of the chamber before firing a huge beam of energy at him. The swordsman hit the floor and vanished, and in a blinding flash of light, Zephyr was gone as well.

The portal closed up, leaving behind a strange seal in its place.
