So here we have it, the silhouette of the first Pokeyman from the next generation. He will be fully revealed in the new Pokeyman movie, Pokéman Balls Z or something.
Looks like a Digimon!

.... Really, they couldn't come up with a better name so they snaged DBZ's?
Meh, whatever. Well I hope they go back to basics with gen 5. I'm getting kinda tired of seeing robot looking pokemon.
This new guy looks like he could be a grass/fighting type. Or maybe this is the game where they introduce beast-type.

*Is sad*
I just got Platinum! I am gonna get SoulSilver! I don't have time to start caring about this new generation, I'm only just now getting my fourth gen fix! Exclamation!
I am curious if it's gonna be for the DS, or some new-fangled system Nintendo will announce later on. If it's DS, I guess I'm good to go for once, since I already have one. If it's some new system, though... Well, maybe I'll get around to playing it before 6th gen hits :sweatdrop
Edit to Kyanbu: I'm totally expecting this to be a Lucario evolution. Lucario is already half-DBZ anyway, he just needs a long head of hair to be complete.

The movie's actual name is Ruler of Illusions Z (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/M13). Tsk tsk, I was joking.

He looks kind like a Ninetails. Maybe a new evolution?

Well, it'll be fully shown in two weeks, but odds are it isn't an evo. The first movie that featured a 4th gen Pokemon did the same sort of thing, "Mew & the Wave Guiding Hero." A few weeks later we got a Lucario silhouette, then the whole thing, and his name was thrown into the title. Manaphy was the same as well. The new guy is the "Phantom Ruler."
Edit for clarification: Lucario is obviously an evo, but at the time it was a stand alone Pokemon, since it wasn't part of any current mon's line at the time. Phantom may be an evolved Pokemon, or it might be a Legendary, but it's probably not connected to any current Pokemon.

I was totally expecting it to be Lucario's evo, but then I noticed it lacks spikes. So yeah.
...Wonder how many new ones will there be.

I don't have Pokemon DP/P (yet) so that's kinda why. Other wise I'd join in on the fun.

You know the funny thing is that back when I was in school, there was a guy running a BESM campaign set in 2010 (note that this was roughly ten years ago) and there was a kid who decided to roll up a Pokemon trainer character. Rickert actually mentioned there were "now" over 500 Pokemon. Given that there are already 493 of them (I don't know if this includes all Unown or not, but that's a different topic), I guess it turns out he was right. XD

Apparently on the show this was revealed it was mentioned that you will be surprised thinking "wow, this is Pokémon!?"
Obviously they sold out and now are doing Digimon.

GASP! That kid was from the future! O_O /jk
EDIT: To Tera. Yeah that is odd. Does this mean that Pokemon 5 will be just one game?

Probably something like defog, because the fog is apparently too dense to make it to the next town.
Alternatively they'll introduce something new and stupid like the HM jump, and put a ledge in your way, and you're going to have to teach a pokemon to jump. It's like teaching 'flying' pokemon how to fly. Sigh.

I think he actually means Blue, since Red/Blue/Green was the original generation. Then they added Yellow and shit got real.
It's okay Nonie old pal. You're blue. Like that one good version of Pokemon.
So... Red wasn't good?
You mean Sapphire?
I want to say something mean about you young whippersnappers and your crappy, real life based Pokemans... but then I play Gen IV, and I'd be a huge hypocrite.
So... Red wasn't good?Red was actually better. But it was NonCon posting and not Synk.

Red was actually better. But it was NonCon posting and not Synk.
Actually, the imbalance wasn't THAT bad. Besides, Blue had Caterpie as a common catch, which made it a LOT easier to beat Brock. Sure, you could technically get it in Red, but the find rate is so ridiculously low that a lot of people thought it just plain wasn't in there.
Personally, I preferred Blue.
Edit: This is taking note of the fact that when we got our Xmas presents of Red, Blue, Yellow, and Zelda: Link's Awakening, I got Zelda and Yellow. When borrowing Red or Blue, I found Blue to be the better of the inferior titles.

Mankey is the only one I really miss of those, though. Sure, having a Scyther is pretty cool, but IIRC, it was in the Safari Zone, so good luck not spending days on end trying to catch it. Or if it was in the casino like in Yellow, prepare to face the slot machines. Great to have, but not absolutely necessary when there are other good mons that take less effort. Also, Pinsir has most of the same moves, anyway.
Electabuzz is actually pretty sucky. Very few moves and the only two worth a damn are Thunderpunch and Thunder, and the way Thunderpunch misses, well...
Edit: I take that back. Another one from Red I would have preferred was Growlithe, if only because I like its look better than Vulpix's. I really don't remember how their moves or power levels compared, though.
Edit Edit: Vulpix is apparently better in that it has Fire Spin.

Ohhh yeah. Those kind of moves were SO abusable back then....I remember just continually wrapping up Lance's dragons....and they couldn't do anything.

To this day, I am convinced that wrap and Sand attack are the malicious machinations of Satan himself.
Unless I use them, then they are an unholy gift from Satan.
Either way, they're pure evil.

I don't think people are gonna have the brain capacity to enjoy Pokemon in after about 10 years, they'll have to make it a required course in school just so people will get the basic understanding of it.
And then we'll be in our rocking chairs, talking about the days when there were less than 1000 Pokemon and less than 40 types. We'll wonder if the next generation even remembers Pikachu anymore. Game Freak will be bigger than Microsoft by then and genetic engineering will result in actual Pokemon being created (PETA is already crazy enough as it is, think about what happens when you introduce 1000+ species of creatures who are capable of leveling cities) the environment will be thrown off and there will be a rigged vote on whether or not the Pokemon should replace the current creatures.
Our grandchildren's grandchildren will have Growlithes and Glameows as pets. Actually, those would be obsolete and the kids would have fluffy-flying-fire-steel-dark-dragon type things instead, that could be rented out as assassins if their allowances seemed too low.
I just realized that the world culture could be enslaved by the Pokemon creators if we give them 40 years to progress as much as they do now.

More will be revealed next month. Turns out "Z" is an evolved pokemon, just like Lucario was. It's design is actually kind of cool. >_>

Bumping the fuck outta this because:
Generation V Game Reveal Dated
As we know, the new games are said to be revealled in the next issue of CoroCoro, due out on the 15th of this month. However, the first details about the Pokémon Sunday episode airing on April 11th state that they're going to reveal the games in a "shock announcement" in the episode. Normally, we get CoroCoro leaks before or around the 11th so it'll be curious to see which releases the news first. We'll keep you updated the second the news is announced so keep checking back.
