I'm thinking more on the lines of "Paper Mario Wii" y'know? If that's the case, it ain't so bad.

Also, i'm guessing it might be "faux 3d" as in, you're in a 3d Enviroments, but moving in a 2d pathline.

The horrors of Megaman X7 are well known, but I think Nintendo has a lot higher quality control than Capcom. If the 3D didn't work they'd force Team Ninja to cut it or something, I think, since Metroid is one of their flagship franchises, whereas with Capcom it's like, hey, look, the third Megaman game this year!

EDIT: The faux-3D came to mind to me, too, but there does appear to be "arena"-based battles that are fully 3D, even if some of the other stuff is 2D movement on a 3D plane.

I suspect the title exists in its current form purely so we'll abbreviate it as MOM.
