I'm seeing some interesting things. (http://manno.com.br/Engineer/) Click the icons on the blueprint.

In case you missed it, Valve talking about problems with updating the Engie, (http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=3539&p=1) TF2 on the Mac, (http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=3578&p=1) and new weapons and hats made by fans. (http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=3618&p=1)

Yeah I saw this On the TF2 forums. The guys is crazy and takes most of his ideas from the suggestions on the Forums. The Dooms day device is one I like. Hide it somewhere and activate it during a big rush to watch them all die! MUHAHAHAH!~
I'm just a Mad scientist at heart.

Interesting thoughts. I like the shout-out to the Guard Dog fake update from a while back.

So now the Engineer becomes a tactical commander while the Medic is a field commander... Interesting.

Broken for me too, now.

Whelp, Aerozord killed it. Show's over.

Works fine for me. And the update's awesome. Even if it's fake. Big Bertha seems quite interesting, good for directional defense. Not so sure about the no-turn.

Anyway, what're the bets that valve's going to royally mindfuck us today?

Aerozord

well it does work now, guess it only loads when it feels like it.

Well the no-turn I think depends if that "can hit you" means you cant get near it or just the usual danger of standing near a firing turrent.

So anyone else find the grid that shows how strong each one is against each class? Looks like still a few more updates if it is legit. Engineer is gonna be huge

I'm pretty sure it means it only fires in all directions like it's not really capable of aiming. So, if an enemy gets by it, whoever is near it, will probably perish.

I found the grid, lower right corner, but I wasn't quite sure which icon meant what.

And I very much doubt this is legit. It'd still be cool if it were, but I think Valve is gonna be less focused on creating various turret variations, and more focused on giving the Engie's role some more variety. Perhaps let him actually partake in combat to some degree.

Edit: Never mind, I just found out what the icons meant.

And holy shit, the thing's actually gradually updating. I thought the question marks were just teasers, but there's actually more stuff coming in. There's now an "Anthill".

He updates each day. Yesterday was Big Bertha's day.

Odd, but now the site doesn't work for me. It loads but the middle is all blank...

I'll be happy if Valve changes things so Engies can get assist kills by maintaining another Engineer's sentry. It would encourage engineers to help one another, and it would be a nice present for those who already routinely help other engineers under fire. It would also encourage engineers to try building in new, riskier places, since they'd be more likely to get help if their stuff comes under fire in a high-traffic area. Sure, it might also attract noobs who find the best placed sentry on the map and camp it to steal its points, but I think the benefits would outweigh that.

I dunno. Maybe give Engie a wrench that gives him assists on other folks' sentries, but never crits or has reduced damage or something.

Wait, if the No-Turn can hurt the Engy himself, but it also requires constant refueling of ammo (both in the dscription)... how would you be able to refuel int without getting killed?

Probably it would have a blind side.

Loyal

Seems more like you'd refill it when it wasn't being attacked. Or when it ran out of ammo.

A blind side would seem to defeat the purpose.

I just posted that in the creative links thread...

Not really... If it has 270 degrees of rotation, then you can have a blind spot right in the back. Perfect for Engineer to repair but perfect for spies to backstab if they don't crouch down.

But then there would be 90 degrees where it is safe to attack it. I don't know, it would feel too similar to a regular-sentry-just-slightly-different if it doesn't have a full 360 attack radius.
I think really that the way to repair it while it's under attack is to be where there aren't any enemies. I mean, the only way you can't ever repair it while it's under attack is if it's literally being attacked from all sides. I think that would make for a more interesting tactical approach by both teams than one with a blind side; you could kill the repairing engie by turning up behind him.

wouldn't suprise me if its like BONK and it just doesnt' work like how we think

I have always been fond of the idea that an Engie would get 3 level one turrets that build a little faster instead of 1 level 3 sentry. It would make forward pushing Engies much more dangerous with their ability to quickly lay down some support fire, they could cover a wider area.

I am pretty sure it would not really replace the regular sentry due to the fast that a while the whole 3 level 1s would be a wider net, many of the maps have slim choke points more suited to a traditional level 3.

MMMM... Bacon (http://manno.com.br/Engineer/l.html)

on another note, anyone else notice anthill says "each anthill"? Wonder how many you can make. Course they dont fix the main reason engineers camp by their stuff. Spies

I did the first two to pop up with no problems. I use Chrome so I dunno if it has to do with browser issues or not.

the last reveal is literally, a chicken gun. It is a mobile sentry, that fires fully cooked poultry, at your enemies. This is both the most idiotic and awesome thing they've ever come up with

Alright, someone put in the work, I'm going to put in the links for each one. Only thing you don't get is the animation:

Maaan, it would be so great if the real Engy update uses, like even any of these ideas.
