Manfred vonKarma was executed/died/commited suicide within a year of his incarceration. He was quite dead by the time of Justice For All, which was well over a year before Investigations. And considering Kay Faraday was in that scan, it's a certainty that AAI2 takes place after AAI.

Dude. Sprit Mediums exist! If we assume normal genetics are in place more than the Fey's would posses that power. If that doesn't work can Edgey at least TALK about it!? I just really hope Capcom doesn't bleep things up by making a speculated coupling canon.

...I've worried about that for the past couple Ace Attorney releases, actually. There's such a strong, vibrant and all-out fun community of Ace Attorney shippers with vastly different couples to ship, and that will be totally ruined if, like, Phoenix and Maya become canon dating. The series is more fun when everyone's love lives are concealed from view.

-This game is going to focus more on Edgeworth's "human side" more so than ever before. The story will be about him this time instead of Kay and other side characters. Supposedly he will be "conflicted."
-We can expect another batch of GS game returning characters/cameos. Eshiro speculates that fans will be pleased.
-The Chess System is more or less Psyche-Locks without the supernatural element. They haven't said how it will work yet except that it will be easy to use.
-The scenarios and the trick are strengthened.
-The first case is meant to make you feel like you've been tossed into a final case. It takes place at Gourd Lake
-Shelly De Killer appears.
-Edgeworth, Gumshoe, and Kay are back
-GK2 has been in the works since September of last year and it was realllly hard keeping it a secret. Eshiro cites fan demand as the main reason for them continuing the series.
-Same team as GK1 is working on it
-The Tiny sprites have received a graphic upgrade.

Hell yes for the return of De Killer.
Also, I have a hunch that at least one of the cases exploring Edgeworth's "human side" is going to involve Wright post-disbarment. (At least I hope so, anyway. The first AAI's ending hinted strongly at a future Phoenix cameo, the timing is just about right and Wright would be in the perfect mental state post-disbarment to make an error that leads to him being accused of murder.)

I'm sad that Franny hasn't been confirmed yet, though. =(

I am excited about this game, but am saddened because since Edgeworth is involved it means that Oldbag will appear repeatedly because Capcom likes to torture Both Edgeworth and the player.

Payne always appears in the first case of the game, and Oldbag never appears unless Edgeworth is involved in the case.

I wish Oldbag would be the victim just once. That would be all it takes!

Oldbag appeared in the very end of Game 3 (the bit where they montage through all the important characters), complaining that everyone's run off.

She appeared in Case 4-2 as the old woman attempting to climb over the fence in People Park.
