EDIT: so far it's suppose to have a huge boost in Graphics so I guess we'll be seeing HD sprites like the ones used in Blaz Blue. And a Versus mode.

The Story is about a vampire named Valbatose, who is lead a coup d’état in the Netherworld. There better be a sexy non lol vampire check accompanying him...

Say what you want about Disgaea, but the way they go above and beyond with their attacks is always good for a laugh.

They're okay. They're really only impressive if you compare them to other NIS sprites. I've seen better sprites on Muramasa and that was a Wii game.

To be fair NonCon, it's kinda unfair to compare Vanillaware sprites to other peoples, I mean Odin Sphere is still probably one of the best looking games ever, let alone Muramasa.

But yeah they're still pretty low quality compared to other HD sprite jobs. In particular the lack of movement while they're moving is kind of disppointing, far too much reliance on DBZ esque motionless flight to move around.

On other stuff, looks like the angels are finally back. The whole celestial thing just kinda disappeared after 1 was wondering when or if they'd turn up again, or if Flonne would just be a confusing artifact of a dropped world element.

It's not bad looking. A nice jump compared to their usual sprites. Though I was expecting more.

Seems Axel will be important to the story in this one.

And are we getting dual wielding in here? I saw one of the lead characters dual wielding 2 B.F.Swords before moving around the map.
