I want to see that Nerdy Show server. Is that private? In other words, do I need to buy minecraft to look around it? Not really interested in throwing 10 dollars at something I'll never use again...

The Nerdy Show server is an Alpha server.
You would need to pay about 14 Dollars to get that version.

The game IS worth it, though. And it's only 14 bucks.
