Commentary on my LP quality aside, what to do next? I already made basic axe, shovel, and pick axe, though so far have not done any digging. Also need a name, I was thinking MacGyver, but whatever

Dig straight down, reach the bedrock then try to get out. (you should get some stone tools at least)

Make a house with every single kind of block you can get your hands on, without any particular pattern.

Alternately, make it the most colorful house ever using some wool.

Beat skeleton to death with bare hands, find coal, make torches and stone tools and a hole in the wall you can safely cry in.

If you can't find coal, dig three blocks down into dirt and seal yourself inside until night passes

When morning comes, set up for the coming night properly.
Find coal for torches. If you can't readily find coal, mine some stone, create a furnace and make some coal for torches. (Burn wooden logs in a furnace, which will create charcoal.)

Set up a shelter; either find a small cave that you can mob-proof, or build a small shack out of wood or stone.

Spend the rest of the day (if any left) hunting pigs for bacon. You may need it.

I'm not sure it's that interest waned so much as there's not a whole lot of content and you seem to be asking for input as to what to do a lot, which we can't really give until you already have a safe haven and a stockpile of resources. Like I mentioned in your interest thread, it might be more feasible to have a forum-wide Minecraft Diaries thread where anyone who wants to have an ongoing Minecraft story or just show off their stuff, and there's not so much worry about interactive direction.

That might be interesting, doing it in an area with pre-existing structures like Fiendcraft. If we could like, get a copy of Terra but do monsters and then do the LP there, that'd make for a cool LP, I think.

Honestly? Just found out about this. And unless you're Picasso and going to show us how to draw, I'm interested in seeing what you can come up with. You need resources and you need to work on making the mansion look good. That's not really something I know how to help with. But I'm interested in seeing what unfolds.

I find that telling a story just from basic Minecraft is pretty hard to do. What would help is to get a custom Minecraft map and work with that so you already have some story to work with. I suggest:

-Survival Island (http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1020&t=117731): You're alone on an island and you're given a set of goals to complete. You start out with nothing and have access to very limited resources. Another possible suggestion to this might be to play on Ironman rules, meaning that if you die then LP's over or something like that just to add to the tension.

-Skylands (http://skylands.goonygoon.com/): Moreso an adventure kind of map, rather than survival, but you've got a lot more material to work with as far as there being so many interesting areas to explore. And with the beta update, it's actually playable now without that crazy lag that it had before.
