My Very first Let's Play ever.
Let me set this up for you guys, i'm doing this Video Let's Play for as long as people want to watch it and comment on it.
let me see if i can get this right:
The Game: Sd Gundam G Generation World (2011)
Type of Game: Turn Based Strategy RPG
The console: PSP
The method:
* 8~10 min videos a piece (a full missions can go around 4-7 videos) no cuts.
* Missions will be done in Menu order
* non mission related videos (like, team setups, micro mangement and stuff) will be heavily edited to be small. May be skipped sometimes.
* Grinding (when needed) will be displayed in Edited videos of highlights or not at all
* All videos with original Audio and Audio commentary over it
Update: I'll try twice a Week. Maybe 3 times a week.
Audience input:
Starting on Episode 4, the game allows me to create up to 10 custom pilots.
These are all Lvl 1 pilots i can use in my Battleships or Piloting any gundams/tanks/jets/Mobile suits i want. So i want you guys to join in.
There are 10 Spots, 9 avaliable since i took 1 to myself. To be a part of it, i'll have to take your requests in a manner of "First Come, First served".
follow the instructions below and watch Episode 4 (or not, i'll accept reserves now) and tell me what character you want to be, and i'll make YOU a part of my main fleet.
http://i54.tinypic.com/29wthxd.jpg
And tell me the type of Mobile Suit or Machine you want to pilot.
Give me just a general sense (or a specific one) and i'll make due with that.
Between missions you guys can tell me here if you want a new Mobile Suit or if you just want to keep the one you have now and other stuffs like that.
If you watch episode 4 you can tell me what suit, voice and Music you want for your character, or you can just give me a general direction of what you want and i'll choose for you.
So, be a part of this!

The problem with your post is the lack of video links. Please rectify this when convenient.

Apparently Viddler's pretty good for longer videos, although I don't know if it's free. I've seen Dailymotion used a lot too, and that seems to have a length limit more similar to what you're looking for.
I do know that Youtube hates videos over ten minutes long with a burning passion, though. Good luck with that!

I have been waiting for more Bells-talk since "pretty chicken." Upload them somewhere.

I have been waiting for more Bells-talk since "pretty chicken." Upload them somewhere.
You know, youtube deleted Half of my Abridged series (just 4 episodes though XD) and then i lost most of my material when my HD died out, but i still want to go back to it someday and Make it a Huge Movie covering all the other episodes just for the hell of it...
Now This is not very good, i'm nervous as all hell, and this is the first time ever i've done this. So i could really use some honest pointes here... i can "do" voices and i can talk slowly, but commenting on the spot with my own voice... something i hardly ever do, so it's going to sound bad before it sounds good. comment away!
Also, let me know if you guys prefer more comment, less, none, just gameplay... whatever, it can be done.
I'll put it up on Dailymotion, cause, i don't really want to mix these with My youtube account, it's already a mess over there.
i'm uploading the videos right now, will edit here soon with the links on the first Post!

Comments are nice, just try not to turn your voice into the main BGM :P. Since the game is in Japanese, maybe some explaining when interesting stuff happen/are said would be nice.

I feel like i'm cursed with this stuff... i'm trying to work with high quality videos, so the smallest file i can make is 180mb MP4. Which is fine... it takes almost an freaking hour and half to upload but fine. So i do it on Dailymotion, and it get stucked on 99%, i say "screw you" and move to Youtube, where it loads, both videos and 2 minutes later it gets deleted cause it's "too long" (well, you guys warned me about that one...) GUH! Just my luck.
I was considering redoing all the comments on the first 2 videos, because indeed i talk too much... but then i thought, as long as i'm doing this, i might as well take it in the balls like a man. From the 3rd video onwards it will be more lighthearted, funny and with sparse comments (i caught myself trying to explain too much.. 10 minutes it's not a lot of time, it seems...)
I'll try to upload AGAIN, just bear with me a little while longer...

15 minutes in 180MB? You should consider your encoding settings and stuff. I got a 2 hour movie in just 740 MB, and the quality is great (not "just good enough", I mean great)
Just in case, here are the settings I use:
Video codec: h264
bitrate: 768 kb/s
Size: 640*352
Bluh, handbrake won't let me save those configs and export them.
Anyway, get handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php) and copy the stuff in the images. You can change the resolution, audio bitrate and anything you need to, but with this settings you should get a smaller video while keeping the quality ;)

Thanks i'll give it a try on the next videos, i was using Format Factory, it's amazing but i'm not getting much compression out of it. The original videos are around 352 WMV files when i take them out of Sony vegas, then i pass them through Format Factory to MP4 and it comes out around 180 mb
Either way, i finally managed to make Dailymotion to work, and the 2 First Videos are out in the First post. I have 3-4 More video son cue just waiting for commentary track, so let me know your opinions and suggestiosn and i'll give it a shot, i want to improve this.

Weeeeeeell, your narration is interesting, but the game's very much not-interesting. So, I just watched you talk about something kinda boring to watch for fifteen minutes and was mildly entertained. I think that's a good thing.

Well, that's more positive than what i was expecting, to be honest... thanks! A big part of the game is making your team, leveling it up and facing harder maps and strategies.. the tutorial map e very easy and simplistic, as it is the very first maps of the game (i'm staying ahead of schedule) things improve a bit after the slow start, but that's the overall feeling of the game

Oh, I left out that I couldn't access the first video (the site said it was "still publishing"), so if you explain the turn mechanics and stuff there, then I may have been more engaged with the game. Really, it reminds me of Yggdra Union, a game that I'm not sure I want to beat because the fighting plays out a lot like this game. Something about, "Attack a unit, wait for a cutscene to end, maybe you won and did damage" turns me off. Not that yggdra or SD Gundam G Generation World battles are just a cutscene, but it's sorta like that, you know?

I played Iggra too, they are not really the same. I can see where you draw the connection, but in the GGEN series the cutscenes are fanservice and totally skippable. Later on the maps get bigger and if it follows what the previous game Did, it's not absurd sometimes for you to be Outnumbered 3-1 or more. And there is these Generation Breaks you can trigger that sends more enemies to the map, most of the time more powerfull then current units and quite often they show up in the map on your back or anothe vulnerable position, forcing you to rething your strategy on the go.
I'll put up more videos, and once you see the Actual first mission, you'll see that it's scales up slow and steady.
I have 7 More videos on cue so i'll try to release these 2 or maybe even 3 at a time now that they are smaller.
Also i'll experiment with all sorts of commentary, so tell me what fits you guys better

Ooh, pick me! I wanna pilot a Gundam!
Name: Ookalf
Gender: Male
Type: Melee Type
Clothes: This dude. (http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt87/Ookalf/Characters/GundamLPCharacter.png)
Voice: Type-A
BGM: I'm not really familiar with Gundam music, so just hit me with something hotblooded and action-y.
Mech: This one. (http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt87/Ookalf/Characters/GundamLPMech1.png) I can't read its name or stats or anything, but it looks cool. And when it comes to giant robots, isn't that what's really important?
Also, just out of curiosity, what are the female choices like for the outfits and voice?

You're in! It will take a couple more videos for you to show up, but you'll be there in mission 2.
The Outfits are the same, the just change from a masculine figure to a feminine one. And the voices cycle the same parameters. You have the Young Boy/Girl the Old Boy/Girl the Angry boy/Girl the brainy boy/girl that sort of stuff.
The Mobile Suit you picked is a fairly Basic one. I think i already have access to it. It Evolves into the SEED timeline, so there are some great upgrades in there, but not a lot of Melee types. Most Seed Unites are Awaken type ( Funnels, fangs and the such) or Shooters
This game has 707 Units you can pilot. You start with access to around 100 of those and need to research, evolve, combine and buy the rest.
Bellsy, I haven't been watching your videos, but I'll catch up tomorrow. Thanks! If you could, i would love some critique and feedback. I Already know my voice is too low and the game audio seems too loud some times, so i'll fix that in the next videos. I'm just taking a few days because it's Carnaval over here and the streets are rampant with semi-naked boozed females
...no, seriously, Google it or Youtube it.
