And this time, all the games look pretty well worth it.

http://www.humblebundle.com/

There's Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds:Survival, Splot and Jack Claw (which is my favorite one shown). I've currently downloading the games and due to slow internet, won't be done till tommorow. But check it out. Its all for a good cause and you get to name your price!

I got the pack too, make your own price! It's delicious!

I got it for steam, which gave me Shadowgrounds (normal, Survival and the Editor) and Trine, but there is also Splot which is not released yet, and Jack Claw that if i'm not mistaken is also not out yet so i don't have those to download yet. Guess i'll get them when they come out then...

a really great deal.

I hooked this up with Steam.

All is well in the world.

I'm poor, but all is well.

Just to check, Is Trine Crashing for anyone else? I got this pack mostly just to play Trine, but as soon as i launch, it gets me to the loading screen with the Flower background and immediately crashes...

Nope. Working fine for me.

Also, you don't need to have steam to get the editors and etc. They come with without steam aswell!

I'm currently playing Trine and its pretty nifty.

I know that you can even get it on Bittorrent, but this works out well for me to have everything on Steam.

That's what makes the Humble Bundle so much more awesome with each iteration. They really work to make it better without DRM or anything else to screw with your experience.

Jack Claw is apparently a part of a canceled game.

Not sure how I feel about that :/

I still may pick this up if its still going on payday.

Unless pay day is in the next 22 hours, I think you're outta luck.

I picked this bundle up, and I'm glad I did. Wish I'd grabbed the last one, too.

Didn't buy this because I was tired of feeling guilty over apparently not paying enough for the first one. Like the internet was some kind of giant guilt-trip machine of rich people who think their shit smells like roses for about a week after the numbers for the first one came out.

I'm sorry, they said pay whatever you want, and then I have to read like a hundred stories and posts about how the average amount paid was only 10 bucks and

OMG those people are just such assholes, don't they know this is for charity and the games were worth a hundred dollars (despite being digital copies of games that I would probably never play if they weren't free, the only good one I could get to run was World of Goo) OMG that's like going to one of those charity spaghetti dinners and only paying the minimum 7 dollars for the spaghetti instead of putting a hundred in, have you no shame

etc.

So when I read the same thing on there again this time, about putting in whatever dollar amount you want, I closed the window (it helped that their site defaulted 30 dollars in there...man I am just SUCH an asshole, I guess)

I mean...I paid a dollar. For this one and the second one. a Penny for the first one.

Yea, I don't feel guilty.

Hey, at least you paid for it. There's some people who would rather steal/pirate/whatever the games.

Also, you can increase the money you want to pay for it at a later time, there's a link for that in your Humble Bundle pages.

and think of it from their standpoint, even just one cent is still one cent more then what they'd have if you never bought it. The whole point of this is trust in principle of economics that everyone has a reservation price, where if its cheap enough someone will buy it, then rely on raw numbers to make money.

Yea, I remember the first one they did they had some guy download something like 2 terrabytes worth of the games (repeatedly of course). Its not that they just give out these "licenses" to downlaod the games, they also keep track of how much each "license" downloads to see if they really are sharing thier own license or not and seeing if it limits pirating or not. Which, despite that one guy mentioned previously, they're results surprisingly supported the presumption that people WILL pay for the games and they WON'T pirate it out to other people.

really? I heard that they found 25 percent still pirated the thing. Honestly it makes no sense, you can pay anything, you can dig out change from the cushions and use that, still people feel they are entitled to free games.

Please tell me this is not developing into another "piracy is bad" thread...

Yea, that one guy. But the overwhelming majority didn't do that.
