Now when I say out of placed, I'm thinking of the point where they tried to stick a horror bit in your FPS. I'm talking about the "comic relief" in horror games. Just moments where, all of a sudden, there's a forced stealth section or an evil spirit that possess your escort.

The Haunted mission in Dragon Age II. The entirety of Ravenholm. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij673h8vzTw&feature=fvst) That bit in Fallout 3 with the possessed ghoul in Dunwich. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ipOMNQA8Ho&feature=related) Or The Flood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5ctpv_e6o0) from Halo.

Now, these aren't terrible - I mean, Half Life 2 is Half Life 2, Dragon Age 2... has good dialogue, and if I say anything bad about Halo there'll be a line of X-Box owners ready to kick me in the jubblies.

But sometimes these come across as forced, like in F.E.A.R, where there's a stock skeleton on the ground, or in the entirety of Dead Space. Anyone have any others?

None of those are really anything I would qualify as out of place for their respective series.

FEAR and Dead Space can be sort of forced, though, for sure
