So there's a Silent Hill box set that's bummed me out for a while, what with it only being available in Japan. But not anymore! (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/25/silent-hill-hd-collection-coming-in-september-october-first-s/) The Silent Hill series is becoming a box-set and getting an HD make over. Same for Metal Gear Solid and Zone Of Enders. (http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6316494/metal-gear-solid-zone-of-the-enders-hd-remakes-coming-to-ps3-360) So... uh... fuck yes.
Anyway, the Playstation has usually always supported my horror needs, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqkNPcUMffU&feature=player_embedded) and after a sneak peek game-play wise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe1eOeUXSLA) of the newest title, Silent Hill: Downpour, I'm confident that it will totally let me down.
I have to be honset, Silent Hill 2 was the best, Silent Hill 3 was my first, Silent Hill 4 was pretty interesting and then they just started going down hill. Don't get me wrong, there were (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3K2B2XSSD64) some good things (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRvcsoTxExU) coming out of the series, but once they got sub-titles... Origins (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_KSlhInE6A), Homecoming (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgNtRshd3lw), Shattered Memories (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSWMDgzHAqM&feature=related) and now Downpour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS7xj78t4dk)... They dun even have Akira Yamaoka on this!
Don't get me wrong, I'm still gonna buy it. It's just... it's just not gonna be a Metal Gear Solid 4 calibur game.
