Won't really know until it releases and some games come out for it. A couple decent ones look to be coming out for it, but I'd wait till we see what they announce at this year's Tokyo Game Show and then make your decision based on how likely the games you're interested in are to be localized.

On topic... How is the fighting system different from Blazblue or SF4?

Won't really know till we have more than screenshots to show the difference. If I had to guess, it won't have some of the stuff that BlazBlue has in terms of setting traps or coming at your opponent from two directions at once. At the same time, it'll probably be faster than SFIV. Beyond that I can't really say. I'm excited though.


Anywho, Vita release of Persona 4 sounds cool. No female protagonist, and this is one of the few instances where I'm glad about that, because GODDAMN I was worried about how that'd fuck stuff up with Kanji. They say they're including an element many fans of the original wanted, and I'd like to believe that's being able to gay romance Kanji, but I'm not so optimistic as all that. I'm wondering what the new character's role in the story is. Maybe a new party member with a new dungeon. Maybe a really cool social link. It's said to have more anime cutscenes, and I'd wager many of those will be from the new anime of P4.


The REALLY interest thing about P5, though we won't see anything about it for a while, is that they're doing their own in-house engine for it. I'm really curious to see what it looks like, since Catherine was made using someone else's graphics engine and looked pretty damn good, I thought.

Atlus continues to surpass all of my wildest expectations. To be quite honest, I would have been pleasantly surprised if the fighting game was just announced alongside the expected Vita P4 port. The P5 announcement just takes things to entirely new levels of euphoria.

I hadn't heard most of those P4 port details, Nonny. Do you have a link to an article that spells everything out?
