Sony says that it isn't cancelled, but... well... they aren't exactly known for their honesty.

I trust Gamestop's greed more than I trust Sony, and a greedy Gamestop wouldn't say a game was cancelled if it wasn't, because then they have to refun pre-orders.

From Sony's response & the details of the article, it sounds like Sony is looking for a new development team for what has already been done.

No idea on what the end result would look like, since I'm not sure how far along the project got.

UPDATE: Apparently Gamestop just removed the game from their system and it isn't actually cancelled. Weird that they'd have an automated call saying Sony cancelled it in that case, but WHATEVS. You may all go back to looking forward to this game.

Gamestop was trying to get me to preorder it just last Saturday so I'll take it with a grain of salt. I would have, but it was the wrong Gamestop to preorder stuff at.

I did buy Demon's Souls brand new for 15 bucks, though.
