Basically I am probing possible interest in a league for the pc game Bloodbowl LE. In case you don't know what it is, it's Warhammer football. The game is unfair, brutal, and ridiculos.

And I want you to join a League with me. Any owners of this fine (if unintuitive) game interested?

I have the boardgame. I'll play that.

In a game like Bloodbowl where you can be horribly maimed by picking up the ball, I don't think there are really any actual good players. (I'm pretty new myself, but I am picking up pretty quick, I guess.)

I played Bloodbowl and thought it was terrible. And man do I love me some warhammer so that was disappointing.

The single player is terrible. So bad.

The multiplayer is great though. Especially if you get people who can laugh and have a good time.

Is it really worth it? Because I don't know how in the hell to play the dang thing... I'm going to such no matter what race I pick.

The best way to learn is to pick up the game and play a person. I tried learning by playing the tutorial and the computer and long story short was stymied. I played with another beginner and we both had a reasonable understanding of the game after about two games. I still am not sure what my favorite race is yet, but i have realized that certain races are meant to be harder to win with (goblins, ogres, vampires, Halflungs)

I'll start an open league for us when I get off of Work.

Double-post for information update:

I started an Open League, new teams only. It's called Nuklear Open League. It doesn't have a password or an application so just join and if I see you on I might just challenge you. Feel free to register multiple teams if you want. It's all about having fun.

Played two teaching games tonight, tied the first and then won the second. However, the second game was kind of a Pyrrhic victory.

I don't think I like the Skaven very much.

Skaven are the race I play in WHF, so I had to stick with them. I've only played about 5 games on the PC, so next time you're on shoot me an invite so i can get the feel for the game again.
