Source, with links to the announcement (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=459014)
Well, shit, I was kind of looking forward to this one.
I'm seeing literally zero links to any announcement.
So far, literally all I've seen is one guy on Twitter making these claims and everyone treating his word as gospel. Until THQ says something on the matter, I'm skeptical of all of this.

Found this that goes into a little more detail about it.
And a Kotaku article. (http://kotaku.com/5876253/thq-wipes-out-games-planned-for-2014-to-ready-itself-for-sale-says-insider)
Oh look, those articles use the exact same Twitter posts as the GAF thread as their source.

Hey, I'm hoping like crazy that it's wrong. But hey, if anyone else has something that can add, or deny, the statement, I'd love to see it, but so far, that's the only news I'm seeing from it.

interesting week for 40k news, if this is real. the latest ruleset got leaked as well.
Did we even have any solid info on this game? Other than the announcement I haven't heard a thing
THQ says it's nonsense (http://www.kotaku.com.au/2012/01/thq-has-not-cancelled-its-2014-line-up/)

Thank god. Cos I was gona say, THQ aren't doing that badly, surely?
Mind you I would like to hear something new about the game at some point, there's been nothing mentioned about it since the Imperium trailer ages ago.
THQ, with the exception of this year's Red Faction game, are doing pretty well andSaints Row 3 sold very, very well. I would not be surprised to hear the MMO get cancelled, because MMOs are massive projects that take forever and they could easily decide it's not worth the effort, but I'm not going to believe it over one random analyst on Twitter saying he heard some rumors.

hahaha, this reminds me of when people are all "internet bloggers will replace paid journalists". Classic.

Well, that's a relief. Thank you.
And it's scary how powerful Twitter has become if you think about it. All this hubub because of a couple Twitter posts...
Anyway, thread can be locked/thrown away now.

Not even twitter.

There is something so profoundly and absurdly meta about hearing the nation of Japan say that.
