So I am doing a full mass effect lets play

By that I mean from game 1 to game 3, doing it now because there is a lot of game here and want to only spend like an hour or two a day on it. Since I managed to finally get recording software to work, by that I mean I did a test recording and spliced commentary, I thought I'd share it as what might be the first complete mass effect run.

So I wanted to know what people would like to see in it. Whether to be renegade, paragon, or just focus on the RP (I am ok with changing between games but wont be changing it mid-way).

As well was major choices. Who to romance, if anyone, what to do about wrex, which human dies, ect.

Oh and of course what kind of build, gender, ect.

My personal preferances are male (because I think Tali only has interest in males and she's my prefered LI), and assault specialist. Usually just default appearance because I dont really care. But thats just my leanings if there is something in particular others want to see I want to kno

Totally hot redheaded Femshep. Renegade Vanguard/Infiltrator. Garrus for LI (until Tali becomes available for lesmance in ME3). Kill Wrex yourself. Kill the Rachni. Let the council burn. Wipe out the Geth. Encourage the Quarians to retake their homeworld. Have the bare minimum of survivors from the suicide mission. Solve all other problems with harsh justice/pure violence. Make the universe as horrible and dark as you possibly can.

you are harsh. though bare minimum number of survivors for the suicide mission is zero, possible for even Shepard to die on it.

It IS possibly to kill everyone except Shep, by leaving Zaeeds loyalty mission until after the suicide mission, then killing him there, but he's a dlc character and I'm not sure if he's available on whatever you're playing on.

I dont know. I did get that DLC, I had the code for all the free content, but that was all on my old harddrive. Depends on if the code carries with the save, or with my XBL account.

I vote no on killing everyone. But we might be getting a bit ahead of ourselves here since we haven't even started the first game.

lets focus on the major game 1 choices, if its a choice for a side mission I will make it based on the paragon/renegade option. Though do keep love interest in mind, because if you want Shep to be loyal it means not having anyone game one, or doing what I did and pick ashley then kill her

If Mass Effect 3 turns out to be a steaming pile of an elephant's upset stomach aftermath, kill off everyone in the suicide mission in ME2. Taking a bullet to dodge a bullet.

Otherwise, keep everyone alive. Except Kaidan. If you're going for male Shep, use the default look because I've never seen a custom male Shep that didn't look like the aforementioned elephant.

well alot of people seem to want female shep. My only issue with that is dissonance created by a male doing commentary for the perspective of a female. Just saying keep that in mind, if everyone is still calling for a fem-shep I intend to deliver.

Oh God can we please avoid the "Every Single Femshep has to be a lesbian because LOL we're horny men" bullshit?

I mean I wouldn't even be offended if every Femshep playthrough didn't inevitably result in a completely unrealistic, not-even-remotely-indicative-of-actual-lesbian-relationships slutfest of Femshep feelin' up all the girlz, but this is exactly what happens in every Femshep playthrough I've ever read.

I dunno about renegade femshep. Jennifer Hale may be a good VA, but I always felt she dropped the ball on the renegade options, whereas the male VA nails the over-the-top "I don't give any fucks at all!" attitude much better.

I actually felt almost the exact opposite; love Renegade Femshep, prefer Paragon Manshep in terms of voice acting.
Although Jennifer Hale is better in both roles, so it's really more akin to Renegade Femshep >> Paragon Femshep >> Paragon Manshep >>> Renegade Manshep.

Manshep just sounds bored and monotonous overall, which works comparatively well when Manshep is doing the right thing and being detached and objective in his assessments and less well when he's trying to EMOTE HIS RAGE or express rebellious indignation or make funny quips while punching people.

oh for the love of, why did you guys give me a load of suggestions at the exact time I was recording the run. I went with renegade maleshep, and other details you can see in the video when its uploaded. Though I guess its not too late if everybody hits me with "no paragon"

Honestly I will need to do something about this upload time. The video is less then 20 minutes long but it is estimating it will take hours. I think its because the video is saves as very high quality (though I am using basic composite cables so I think its wasted) so I will need to experiment with it abit to see at what point the drop is noticable.

Every ME LP seems to go Renegade. Go for a mixture. Sure, it may screw you over because being pure Paragon/Renegade gets you more benefits, but to hell with that.

Obviously in ME2 you want to take every single Renegade interrupt. I've never skipped them even as Paragon.

I am still working out alot of things. Sadly thats the best quality I can get right now. In fact what I see when I play is pretty small, so I need to even find some splitters so I can play off my TV. I cant even read most of the options.
