I have decided to start providing answers in this thread that are entirely truthful and arguably helpful.

So with that in mind: No.

I feel we need to cut down on our reliance on eating our brothers. (other squishies and their failed transformations) and move onto a path of eating photonic energy.

we should totally get plant like or better abilities to get extra energy from sunlight. this way we could even boost our laser output!

I think it's more that the yellow sigil had a different intended function.

Orange and Yellow squishies were on symbols very similar to the yellow one that shocked us. A symbol also on the robots. Pink squishy was on a symbol that turned it into a dweller.

I'm thinking only the objects with a symbol like the one we were on during that little flashback will have any effect other than a jolt on us. If we can find one. We haven't seen one yet.

Also the effect may not be altogether positive, considering friendly little pink thing turned into a cthuluian horror from beyond upon touching its.

1) We're named Nichi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=Nichi&go=Go). While it's spelled differently, homonyms plus the fact that we "feel lonely" could indicate we're named after Nietzsche (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy_of_Friedrich_Nietzsche) instead.
2) We're a homunculus (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/homunculus?s=t)!

EDIT: EVOLUTION: I'm wondering if the different symbols not only have different purposes, but also show us some amount of our own potential. For example, watching what happened to the other squishy is quite possibly not purely a function of the symbol. That is, it may be functionally possible for us to take on those traits on our own. Which may by the source of the alchemist's failure - he may be seeking to find a way to break the limits that are already there and get something wholly new (and instead he ended up with something that's derivative).

Ok lets see. I think we can all assume these are memories or atleast something that happened in the past. Previous attempts, and they also had the capacity to evolve judging by how the other changed. It was also zapped by the green thing, much like how we were zapped by the evil yellow thing. Which merely hurt us, but transformed the other squishy

I think it would be helpful if we had a list so we know what to work with.

I don't think we should evolve anything else until we've had a significant period of gaining mass. This is assuming we have a decent repertoire of abilities to work with.

So proposal for an evolution that ties into the Mitchonduit system perhaps some form of solid deposits that would be able to be 'burned' for quick energy release for either the laser eyes or movement speed.

lastly we should probably start working on an internal structure because at the moment we have a lot of problems that would be solved by it. We only survived our encounter with Grimpond robot by the grace of god Arhra and we wouldn't have had that problem if we had a skeleton.

Things to consider we have no biological means of storing water or energy properly, we should probably look to fixing that as well first proposed evolution would solve that by giving us some biomagic equivalent of fat or sugars.
