Apparently, last night there was a countdown of like one hour on that site, and when it ended the actual countdown you see now started. Squeenix! :argh:

Regardless, it's The World Ends With You news and I am therefore super excited. So go ahead and speculate about whatever it is!

As for the song on the site, it's only the backing track of a song. More bits of it will be added every day. But if you're impatient, someone dicked around with the site files and pulled out a version that's at something like three days left. Welp. I'd say I was disappointed, but first I'd have to expect Square to actually do something worthwhile with an amazing game that didn't sell as well as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

On the plus side, at least they didn't take this the KH II route and just basically say "add more long-haired pretty boys and then BS together something resembling a plot."

The countdown site uses a shortened version of the game's Japanese name, so that's pretty much a major hint.

Of course, watch it be a 3DS port or something Pottermoreish.

Yeah, looks like. In their defense, they actually put in the effort to change the battle system so you can control both characters in one screen.

The countdown still isn't over for me, because it's tied to a computer's system time. Quite possibly it's supposed to end globally at something like midnight EST, I dunno, and that's why greed can't see anything yet. And it'll reveal something else when it's done.

That's basically my only hope. Don't let me down Squeenix!
