This literally IS a murder game.

So, here is the thing... i just stumbled upon this game on Steam called the Ship.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/2400/

The Ship is like the Multiplayer portion of assassin's creed, but a bit simplified and more cartoony looking. Also... it's from 2006. But it looks quite nice actually. It has that Team Fortress 2 vibe to it...

At around $15 bucks for an old multiplayer game, i would say it's a bit expensive, but here is the catch...

Purchase The Ship and receive two extra activations to send to your friends! Additionally, any user that receives a gift activation will be able to give one additional activation to a friend.

So, you buy 1, get 2 more, each person that gets one of those will get 1 more.

So, on the very least, you buy 1 game, and you get a total of 5 copies. Which is very nice!

Essentially what the game is, is that you are trapped in an ocean cruise where a sadistic mastermind has put you in a dangerous game... there is someone on the ship that you must murder. And someone who must murder you.

That's it!

The game shows a variety of weapons (Melee, to explosives, to poison, to sleeping pills to a machine gun or a revolver) and you can't simply kill anybody on the ship anywhere... there are a few NPC's and officers and cameras that could kill or arrest you on the spot if you simply walk around swinging weapons in the open...

So, it's a bit of Stalkerish cat-and-mouse game, and from what i could find out, it is still active with a few game servers (not many) around to play.

A bit over my price point (and i already have too many games) but i would gladly jump the bandwagon if this caught the eyes of the NPF steam crew... other than that, it seems like a nifty indie title that flew under the radar...

if I was ever able to make Steam Nights here, I'd be interested in getting the ball rolling for this. Sounds like a blast

well, y'know what?

I've got a couple of really great games as gifts from people in this forum, this is as good as opportunity as any to return the favor, so, Shyria, Ramary i believe i already have you both on Steam, so i'm sending my 2 extra copies to you fellas as soon as i receive it.

If by any chance i don't have ya both in there, look me up Bells85 in there, ok?

Also remember that when you get the gift, you'll also get an extra copy to give to someone else.

If Shyria or Ramary have nobody to give their gift copy to, why not Arcanum?

I think Karesh has been dying to play this, so I am sending him my extra.

Anybody getting the "Can't connect to master server" problem or is it just my Sucky pc that sucks?

I've played this before, at a LAN thing. It was kind of funny for a few minutes.

Maybe we just didn't give it enough time. The premise is amusing, for sure.

I was able to play it with bots, single player style... apparently there are nearly no servers online anymore which makes me go frowny face...

I like how your character must eat, sleep, talk to people, take showers and use the bathroom... it forces you to be vulnerable, while maintaining a sense of thrill. There is no camping here!
