Got some people playing but would like a few more. Anyone interested? It would be 8pm EST on friday over Skype voice chat. Thinking of starting things off in the north as a change of pace. If there is any interest I'll post down the details of house rules and stuff

MAYBE. What is exalted and why should I care? And also how much hand holding would you be prepared to do with me because it would be a lot.

I would, but I only know Pathfinder and a little D&D 3.5.

Exalted is the game of being overpowered as all shit, in a world where literally everything wants you dead all the time forever. To make up for this, you're the strongest beings in existence (potentially.)
Exalted is about which invincible sword princess can more creatively annihilate the next coming swarm of Dragonblood Exalted, and who can most creatively pull off X ridiculous stunt.
It's rules are uncomplicated for the most part, it's straightforward and rewards players for being wordy and descriptive. My game has been running for 4 years now, I think? Most of the original players are still in and we just hit Essence 6 (7 for the Twilight Caste).
I absolutely recommend Exalted in the same way I recommend holding a ferret. It'll bite you and probably piss on your shirt, but it's definitely an experience to be... experienced.

dont need to worry about being new, most interested are new as well.
Not complete noobs I admit, but their first actual game. As for what it is, Nikose basically covered it.

Is there an online SRD for Exalted, or do I have to buy a book?

There is no SRD that I am aware of, and we totally don't condone torrenting the rulebook, which would be named Exalted - Core - 2e. Not the player's guide, that's actually something unrelated.
There's also the free program Anathema (http://anathema.github.io/) which is a really good and comprehensive character building tool that has everything in a fairly step by step manner.

If Exalted has one thing going for it, its really competent character creation programs. You'd be using the errata character generation. If anyone has any specific questions and would like to discuss things add me on skype. Name is the same on there as here. There are some house rules but honestly since everyone interested seems new it wont really matter. Most of it was like unbalanced supplement books and min/maxing.

Ah, shit, wish I'd seen this in time.
For those of you asking about Exalted, the best tl;dr I've seen is roughly this:
So, in D&D or whatever, your Random Farm Boy character wants to, say, be the greatest swordsman in the world, but like everyone else you gotta start off with goblins and rats and giant ants and shit. Now, in Exalted, you already ARE one of the greatest mortal swordsmen in existence, and then you do something so mind-bendingly, transcendentally badass that the god of awesome comes down from heaven and fuses a piece of cosmic perfection to your soul as a personal thank-you for showing him that the world doesn't suck as much as he thought it did. Congratulations, you are now a starting character in exalted.
Then you find out that Creation is about to die screaming in a thousand different ways and you can kick every single one of them in the teeth.

Also, this tutorial is pretty great at teaching you the basics of how to play. (http://jyenicolson.net/exalted/)
I'm eagerly awaiting Exalted 3, but I had great times with 2.

The sooner you learn to love asymmetry, the quicker you'll do well in Exalted. You see, every exalted class has their schticks, (with the exception of the solars who hold dominion on all schticks simultaneously) and each one is broken down into a number of castes which specialize in one or two schticks, and are designed to work in conjunction, all Sentai-style. Charm trees are so friggin huge you literally can't have a wide specialty base and be very good at anything. Sure, you're good at it, superhumanly, preternaturally good, but you're not Exalted good, and that's all that matters.
For example, you can't beat Invincible Sword Princess at swordplay or being invincible, so you might aswell not even try. It's like trying to beat Emiya Shirou at creating blades from nothing, or Sundowner at being fucking invincible, which she can probably do both of. Even if you could, it'd be a fight that would take two to four weeks and destroy at least seven separate metropolitan areas, one of which will likely be Gem. She can't just block hurricanes perfectly to the point where single water droplets can't even touch her skin, she can block three of them simultaneously, one of which doesn't even exist in this plane of reality. Then counterattack the person who created them (with her sword) across realities despite not knowing his name, where he is, or what he looks like, simply because he attacked her and she understands the principals of counter-striking with swords to the point where space and distance are no longer relevant.
So you don't try. You treat Invincible Sword Princess like a natural disaster and you avoid her, and if you can't, you fool her into getting pointed in your enemy's direction, or you seduce her boyfriend or something. Maybe your schtick is seducing people's boyfriends. You could be a bluesid, who knows. You probably even do it via some surreal martial art.
Just for the love of god, don't get in a straight fight.

Funnily enough in the game we were just discussing how DBs are at their most fun when combining their elemental bolt attacks Power Rangers style

Nu. Get with the times.
Dragon-blade beneficence, and combine your melee attack effects power-rangers style. Bonus points for using war for organizing attacks with five-dragon force blow as your elder (There's more Essence 6+ DBs than all the celestials combined after all) knocks their essence off with Essence disruption attack. Well-coordinated dragonblooded ganksquads are among the scariest shit in the game. Pre-eratta they were even explicitly impossible to defend against, even with perfect defenses.
