Is it possible that not one but two of Snake's all-time Top Ten favorite videogames of all time will have major incredible life-shattering news today?

Why yes, says Snake's favorite turn-based strategy game. (http://kotaku.com/the-top-notch-strategy-game-heroes-of-might-and-magic-3-1668961914)

I've looked at Suikoden on PSN a number of times and have thought about buying it. Since 2's out and there's a bonus for porting your Suiko1 save file over. It's probably time for me to consider getting them for my PSP go/PS3/and maybe soon Vita.

Bah, I'm still getting my ass kicked by Dungeon Siege 2 as far as me and RPG stuff goes.

Bring me Sly Cooper 5, then we'll start talking about a "Golden Age of Gaming".

Fuck yes HOMM3 re-release. I still play the GOG version, but you know, visual updates are nice when they're that old.

Still got my fingers crossed for a Fallout 1 and 2 re-release. I never got to play them as a kid. Couldn't get my Steam version to work, and the one time I briefly did, ugh it could use a new coat of paint.

Man I remember reading that Suikoden 1 was an extremely cookie cutter game which barely anyone played. Maybe I'll pick up 2, but I have to finish Wild Arms 2 and FFX-2 on my Vita too.

...Also maybe one day I should finish the Atelier games I bought, as much as I regret buying them.

Time to get back to Wake of the Gods (http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=39810/) so one can properly appreciate HOMM3 old school before getting swept up in the new. (And hope 10% of all the added stuff works with the remake.)

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend is finally on Steam for twice as much as I paid for it on my Vita.

Fuck that.

Suikoden 2 is by far, the best RPG I have ever played. Suikoden 1 was just ok, but for some reason, Suik 2 just went above and beyond. 108, yes I just wrote that, 108 characters! Cooking contests! Awesome combat! Enthralling story! I don't have much patience for RPGs anymore, but I will still boot up my original PS1 (or my PS2) and play it through, and I will get all 108 Pokemon-I mean-characters.

I didn't even know this came out for the Vita. Any new stuff? Or is it just a port?

Just a port from the looks of it. it's listed as a PS1 classic.

Yeah, Suikoden plays like a traditional by-the-numbers RPG with the same story beats and plot twists you'll find in most other fantasy RPGs, while Suikoden 2 just elevates the formula with a really phenomenally executed story, fantastic characters, an iconic villain and a really nostalgic emotional resonance. Everything just clicks. It's hard to even describe why.

But everyone should definitely play Suikoden first because it adds so much more depth to 2 if you import a save.

I wasn't aware Snake had a Vita. NFS Most Wanted 2012 is free on it.

Also fuck I bought Freedom Wars last month and the dollar just kept getting higher and higher and now I'm not buying anything on vita for a long time. Again.
