thanks alot Osterbaum! I didn't mean any real disrespect to your nations armed forces, I was just having trouble coming up with funny rhymes. I'm glad you liked it.

those two love poems reminded me that I haven't written one is quite a while, and I don't think I will for some time. but here's something along the same lines.

She sits alone, inside her heart
that sacred home of loving trust
never will I know its embrace
for I am in her mind, erased

I am that spark of imagination
a moments fancy unrefined
I am not real, a fantasy
the same as she's for me

who can know anothers thoughts?
and how to pry the doors of love
once before with words, too tough
but words will never tell enough

alone and silent, passions cooled
I swore I'd never give it up
now this love, but the medium
routed towards such painful tedium

I'll let her go from in my head
I never held her elsewhere
in jagged verse I've bled it dry
so many tears I've left to cry
