mIrAcLeS Help me not starve!

So, I have come to the realization that I do not have nearly enough ways to make easy to prepare/quick to prepare food, for when I am hungry.

The quick to prepare bit is important since, I'm like, "Well, I'm hungry now. I don't want to spend time BOILING WATER, and make pasta."

So, post delicious, filling, and quick to make recipes. Also, vegetarian ones would be ideal, but I can make do with substituting crap and such.

Edit: Tagging the thread. Also, why is there no, "I'm pathetic at continued survival" tag?

Well, if you have any leftover mac and cheese, or the boxed stuff, make that up, and you can throw in sausage, or ham, or even some leftover taco meat if you have it. It's quite good.

It's not really quick to make, since it takes a bit of preparation and handy work, but:

Buy ground meat (hamburger meat? Whatever you call it.). Half-half (half pork, half beef) tastes best in my opinion, and is probably easiest to make good, firm meatballs from. (if you need more of a recipe for meatballs, tell me.)
Buy some soup vegetables.

Make small-ish meatballs with soup vegetables in them. (smaller than "dinner" meatballs, bigger than the ones you'd get in your spaghetti (if you're the type who puts meatballs in the spaghetti))

Save the meatballs in your fridge, store some in your ice box. Any time you feel like a snack, you grab some. Heat 'em up, eat 'em cold. It's all good.
If you're feeling really fancy, grab some sweet-and-sour sauce, or mix your own red sauce!

It takes some preparation work, like I said, but then you're good for a while.

EDIT: Shit. Why don't I read stuff?

Vegetarian? Blugh. I had a whole mess of stuff to offer but my dad and I like our protein, thank you very much, and he's the one I learn all my cooking from.

So for stuff that doesn't include meat... uh...

1) Buy pre-prepared lettuce from grocery store
2) Place in bowl
3) Add salad dressing
4) Add chicken oh wait

yeah I dunno

1 can refried beans
Red onion
Corn
Jalapeņo
Cheese
Tortillas

Dice the red onion. Slice the jalapeņo. Shred the cheese. Mix the red onion, beans, corn, and jalapeņo in a bowl. Spread onto one tortilla. Sprinkle cheese to taste. Place another tortilla on top. Cook on a pan (no oil if non-stick, a small amount of oil if not non-stick. Griddle is ideal). Use medium heat. First side is done when the heat can be felt through the top. Flip. Second side is done in a few minutes. Remove. Let cool for 2 minutes. Cut. Eat.

Depending on quantities, this makes 4-7 quesadillas. The limiting factor is the tortillas. You'll get your first one in ~20 minutes, and they'll keep coming. They're delicious cold as well, so make a lot and save some.

Also, shit guys not everything needs/should have meat. Portion control, y'all. Some veggie food is damn fine. Eggplant lasagna, a good pilaf (This is a solid el paso pilaf), a veg stir fry, etc.

Of course.
My meatballs just happened to spring to mind, and once you've done the footwork, it's very easy eating.

And my recipe had some veggies in them. Kinda.

I suggest soup over all. Making it from scratch does take alot of time, but even with my appetite it lasts for days and you just need to heat it up.

Though if you are a vegetarian you can just do what I do with my fruits and veggies and eat them raw.

I have a recipe for some good cornbread. It takes some time to do, but when it's done, you'll have enough cornbread for about a week if you eat some everyday. It's quite filling.

Pre-heat oven to 350F and grease a 9X9 inch pan, or a bread pan works fine. You'll need: 1/2 cup of butter, 2 eggs, 1 tps of vanilla extract, 2/3 cup of white or brown sugar (depending on your tastes), 1 tps of baking powder, 1 tps of magic powder (not necessary, but adds a bit more fluff),1 cup of milk or buttermilk (again, depending on your tastes) 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of cornmeal and 1/2 tps of salt.

Mix the dry ingredients (salt, flour and cornmeal) in a bowl and keep it for later. In another bowl, mix milk, baking powder and magic powder and keep it for later. Melt butter in a large skillet at medium heat over the oven until completely melted. Take off the fire an add in sugar, then add eggs quickly with vanilla extract (I usually have the eggs already scrambled in another bowl with the vanilla extract in it). Add the milk and baking powder mix until well blended. Add the flour mix bit by bit until only a few lumps are left (the final mix is supposed to be more liquid than solid). Pour mix into pan and cook for about 20 minutes (if it's a 9X9 pan) or 40 minutes if it's a bread pan, or until the crust is golden brown and there's no residue left on a fork/tooth pick when you check it.

It's a bit of work, but the end result is delicious and it makes about 9 portions. Enjoy!
