Yesterday I got bored in math class and used a series of equations to graph a smiley face on a y-intercept graphing calculator.
The function set went along the lines of... Y1=Root(64-X^2) Y2= -Root(64-X^2) Y3=Root(4-(X-3)^2)+3 Y4=-Root(4-(X-3)^2)+3 Y5=Root(4-(X+3)^2)+3 Y6=-Root(4-(X+3)^2)+3 Y7= -.75*Root(25-X^2)-3 Y8= -.25*Root(25-X^2)-3 may have mixed up a negative somewhere in there, but that's the gist of it. Ever done something so nerdy that you surprised yourself? Story time! Last edited by Pip Boy; 03-20-2010 at 08:37 AM. Reason: Today is saturday, I'm so silly |
