The impression I get of this Spike thingy is that it's simply a thinly disguised marketing platform. Nothing more.

When all the news is about "ooh so&so's phat new trailer", some of the awards don't even get filmed, and with the gross lack of any sensible, informed decision making except for perpetuating to the general media stereotype of vidya gamers? Yeah.

Good to know I can continue to safely ignore it in the future.
