With Mega Man’s anniversary slowly approaching next month, many are beginning to wonder if Rockman (Mega Man) Xover will really be the final nail in the coffin for the blue bomber. Well, Capcom USA wanted to let us know that it ain’t Xover. Senior vice-president, Christian Svensson, gave some reassuring words regarding the blue bomber’s fate and about his upcoming anniversary.
I can say with certainty that you’ve not seen the last of the Blue Bomber on consoles and handhelds, and, with luck, we’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary, including all of the games you’re going to enjoy over the next 25 years.
To avoid any heartbreaks, he also wanted to make it clear that Mega Man games will only be announced once they have been green lit I certainly don’t wanna go through another Legends 3 scenario.
That said, an issue we’ve had in the past has been talking about games and announcing them before we’re certain they’re going to come out, which unfortunately has lead to profound disappointment for many fans. So for now, I’m going to have to stay mum about any details
So there you have it. I am hopeful that Capcom will some day bring back the Blue Bomber. I just certainly hope he won’t end up like this ( caution: if you have any children in the room then make sure to cover their eyes before clicking the link).

So my theory was proven true. Capcom US has been pro MM all along. The MML3 dev room was kept open over here in the US where as in Japan, it was closed very quickly once the title was canceled.
And it seem Capcom US has future big plans for the Blue Bomber. Meaning we'll likly be getting another MM game after Xover.
But on the other hand, this means Capcom US plans to milk the series forever.
Remember folks, Capcom US are assholes that
WANT to milk MM for every last drop. Where as Capcom JP wants the franchise deader then Disco.
It should also be worth noting that Capcom JP is leading the X-over project.
