Of course I have bouts of consumerist whoring and will probably get 3DS anyway if it turns out to be fascinating. |

...well fuck.
I'm not sure how to feel about this. At first I thought it was a joke. |

People won't be satisfied until someone finally pumps out the holographics, it seems?
To be honest I was never that excited about 3D graphics. I have a personal preference for simpler styles--old-school graphics and gameplay, the stuff I grew up on. But I'm a mite curious to see how this new system will work out once they release it. Will it revolutionize gaming-on-the-go? Will it outsell the DS on its first week? Will it have games that I would like to play? |

Hey, you guys who proudly bought all those DSi's and DSiXL's ?
FUCK You! This message was brought to you by Nintendo. Nintendo, "we do what we do". No, but really... i trully hate when Nintendo does this sort of thing. The DS and DS Lite were doing fine. Couldn't you just wait a little longer and release a DSiXL3D ? It's like a Hyperactive kid designing a toy for god's sake! "Hey hey! Put a camera in it... yeah, NO! NO! uuuhhh Make it BIGGER!! NONONO Make it 3D! ALRIGHT!!!" |

The motion control allows the system to detect the stylists movement, not the player. That's not possible yet and won't be for another 10 years or so. The 3D effects are the same as what you see in imax theaters and on select TVs. So your eyes WILL bleed from playing it after a while. On top of that it's not even called DS anymore. It seems to be an entirely new handheld console.

I'm going to go with the assumption that the 3D is some underwhelming thing like the Wii motion controls until otherwise disproved. The distance between the promised product and the actual product was so immense I still haven't quite gotten over it, and I haven't played Soul Calibur Legends in over a year!
