While we're at it, may I complain about how shitty pockets are in women's clothing? Most modern women's jeans can only fit like, a chapstick, whereas my husband can easily fit his wallet, keys, etc. into his pockets. Yeah, I have a purse, but it's annoying to have to lug something around with you all the time. There is a distinct lack of function in the majority of women's clothing, and I don't think it's impossible for something to look cute while also being comfortable, but it's hard to find clothing designed for women that fits both those criteria. Even my coats and jackets, which could easily accommodate more pockets without compromising their look, are lacking. (I did find this really old pair of Levis at a thrift store that must've been from the 80s or something because the pockets actually comfortably fit both my hands AND my phone and a bunch of other crap. Yay 80s pants.)
Edit: also wide width women's shoes are a lie. God I hate trying to find shoes that don't suffocate my feet and also aren't ugly as sin. Quote:
Personally, I like men's t-shirts because they aren't tight (and therefore more easily absorb sweat which sits on top of my skin for an extra layer of annoyance) and don't dig into my armpits (which have extremely sensitive skin ever since I moved to Vegas for some reason) the way women's t-shirts do. Fortunately, there are some currently fashionable women's shirts that are a little looser (usually with hi-lo cuts and larger armholes). Edit 2: WAIT I'M NOT DONE. FUCKING GLASSES. Women's glasses are too small/tight! Cause last time I had to get a new pair of glasses, I tried on at least a dozen pairs and only one pair fit me comfortably. I tried on a few designer pairs (which couldn't be adjusted to be larger) and they were way too small, even for my relatively small head. Just, WTF. Designer clothing doesn't just prefer women who are lean, it also prefers women with tiny heads. o_O Last edited by pochercoaster; 07-21-2014 at 01:39 PM. |
