Granted but it leaves you extremely weak and turns you in to the universe's biggest target. Every THING in the universe and beyond is out to kill you all at once.

I wish Duel Disks were real just like in Yugioh DM/GX/5Ds. And that I owned one.

Granted! However, it soon runs out of power, and there seems to be no way to plug it in to any wall socket anywhere. People from around the world try to build a socket or a new battery for the duel disk, and soon they realize that such a feat is impossible in our current age and universe.

What, did you think they ran on magic? That's crazy talk.

I wish I could convince myself to finish writing a story.

Granted! Too bad your computer can now think and act on its own, taking over every network on the planet, eventually finding humans a threat to themselves and eradicating them by launching nukes to every place on the planet. During the horrible destruction of Earth, you wind up clutching on to a fence to try and warn a playground full of people of the oncoming nuke, only to be incinerated along with them. This ends up leaving a small group of human rebels who keep going back in time to try and stop an infinite time loop, but most end up dying from nuclear fallout anyway.

I wish the recession would end and not end up turning into a depression.

A comet is knocked from its usual orbit, let's go with Hale-Bopp, that one is rather popular. Frantically, astronomers try to warn the governments of the Earth, but it is far too late. By the time a team is assembled and ready, the comet is on its way. The team of experts lands on the comet just in time to catch front row tickets to the end of the Earth.

But no depression or recession! Mainly because humanity has been mostly wiped out.

What? Still not happy? Oh, you don't think the odds of that happening are actually possible, that a mere portent of doom could actually become the implement of doom? Fine. We'll go with this.

Live Free or Die Hard. It actually happens, but the bad guy wins. BOOM. NO ECONOMY AT ALL.

I wish I didn't overthink things too much.
