Anyway, we're spiraling a bit off topic here. Let's get this back to discussing whatever the hell is going on with this FF rhythm game over here. Like, is this even going to get a release outside Japan? Because if "Evangelion: Thirnd Impact" probably isn't going to cross the ocean, I don't necessarily see how the market's any different for this.

We got Rhythm Heaven.

And name recognition might help.

I mean it's not quite as impassably weird as that Tingle game.

Or even a 3DS one, for that matter. I mean, if it can handle SSF4, surely it can handle Dissidia.

Plus, the online would be a hell of a lot less of a pain to deal with.

I dunno. Story-wise, it'd be hard to do. Without Manikins, there'd be no random encounters in Story mode, unless all of Chaos's goons are running around in random locations all the time. Of course, if they had us fight, you know, monsters instead of characters in-between story, that might work.

If they disregard any story and just add new characters and stuff just because... then sure, it could work.

And yeah, what's up with Dissidia's online? I might dare to say I like friend codes more than this. At least I don't have to buy a 20 dollar donglemajigger, or a PS3, just to get online when using friend codes.

Yeah, this would basically only work if S-E were capable of realizing that the two primary flaws of the series are the story mode and the grind, and we know they aren't because Duodecim added more of both and made the former absolutely necessary to complete the latter.

Leveling and skill mastering aren't all that much of a pain if you know what you're doing, but why they made gaining equipment, accessories, and summons so much more of a chore is beyond me. And, of course, they made sure those were the only things that didn't carry over from the previous game's save file.

That's Sony's fault more than S-E's, as apparently the PSP's wireless card is a weakass piece of garbage. Of course, the idea behind it is that it not only makes the PSP cheaper to produce, but it stands to make it much more profitable by requiring the PS3 for most online play, so naturally everyone's gonna buy up both!

...Except that Sony wasn't expecting Nintendo to basically dominate this entire generation, since at the time of the PSP's launch it was considered all but inevitable that Nintendo was going to go the way of Sega and fall by the wayside in the console wars, and Sony believed that this meant Nintendo's grip on the handheld market was just as vulnerable as a result. It wasn't.

I don't know what Sony was smoking to come to that conclusion...

Nintendo's main area has almost always been the handheld market. They really got their ass handed to them though.

Depends on if it is dance based or music based. If it is like DDR then Mog would be the best character.
