Someone brought up a good point earlier. Why not use FireRed or LeafGreen? They're almost the same as the old ones, but they don't look like complete ass.

I'm downloading both roms and comparing now. [FireRed is ridiculously similar to Regular Red, and if push comes to shove and I do choose FireRed, then I'll skip every non-Kanto Pokemon and be like "what the fuck, is some sort of hideous mutant, oh my gaaaawwwwwwd"
