I know. It's just, as much as I am a fan of the old games and Sega giving them a nice long handjob any chance they get is awesome, they've been rereleased over and over again to the point where finding out Sonic 2 isn't on a particular electronic device is a surprise. I guess I wish they'd shown off concept art for new levels or enemies alongside the old stuff, because seeing a badass new robot for Robotnik to pilot is more intriguing to me. They already claim it's a return to the old. I don't need that proved to me unless it's in a gameplay trailer.

Well, before Bayonetta anyway. I might hate that game but I understand when it sells well.

Hey they actually made Sonic 4. Looks good so far, but I'll need to see more before I'm convinced that they really did go back to basics. I love the 2.5D graphics though.

I'm almost willing to look past that if the level design and speed is good old genesis speed (or better).

Actually, it's HD sprites, not 2.5D. Or at least that's what they billed it as. I have to admit I'm disappointed by the video quality. Very hard to make a decent distinction.
