Rush Limbaugh and World Net Daily: Elections could end thanks to Obama

Limbaugh said Obama is getting what he wanted – a complete makeover of the United States into a country with bureaucratic control over individual lives.

"He has come to divide. He has come to conquer. He hasn't failed. He has succeeded," Limbaugh said. "The Democrat Party has been co-opted and is being led by a far-leftist faction who admire and envy people like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro."

Then he explained what be believes Obama's next move will be: padding the voter rolls.

"The next thing that's going to happen is a major push for comprehensive immigration reform. It will be called amnesty," Limbaugh. "None of this should have been a mystery to anybody.

"He will divide this country even further. We can't stop it. We deal with a president who doesn't care how many votes he loses in November," he said.

He also suggested Obama soon will slash the U.S. military, increasing the danger to Americans and their nation.

"He's not interested in your freedom, he's interested in taking it," he explained. "The only way that Obama will ever be able to come close to paying for this spending is to practically get rid of the U.S. military.

"He can't wait to slash that and use the money for domestic spending," Limbaugh said. "The days of the United States projecting its power in defense of people in bondage will likely come to an end.

"He will continue his crusade to forever alter this country," he said. "Rome is burning, and instead of putting out the fire, we have too many people looking for a bag of marshmallows."

The hilarious/depressing thing is that that's actually what we'd be expecting from Obama. America's spending on military is fucking ridiculous. I don't care how awesome your Navy is, do you know how much it costs to maintain that many Aircraft carriers? And your airforce, oh boy your airforce. STOP BUYING NEW PLANES. YOU DON'T NEED ANY MORE.
Honestly. The world is stable. Your biggest potential enemies are dependent on your importing excessive quantities of stuff from them. There is no need for a super-duper, highly-advanced military. It is not practical. It certainly won't be used "in defense of people in bondage", unless he means SM. It's money wasted, since, while the US could possibly win a world war, there's not gonna be one. It's like a guy buying this awesome sports car, when all he does with it is drive to the shops now and then. It's like E-peen, only for a huge country.

As for immigration reform, why would that be a bad thing? We had a discussion on immigration policy a while ago and goddammit, it's ridiculous. It needs reform. And claiming that the president enacting said reforms is doing so for the votes is like saying that he used the Haitian tragedy for political purposes.

Limbaugh's not making ridiculous predictions. He's making reasonable predictions and putting ridiculous motives behind those. He's saying that any and all change will be for the worse, and justifying that by villainizing the "figurehead" for change.

In short: Fuck Rush Limbaugh.

That's why my dad listens to the man; he knows that Rush is, in fact, an intelligent man. Behind all the racism, sexism, and paranoia that people remember is a man who knows his facts. That's why he's so effective, is that he's able to see what's coming and get people fearing it before it happens.
