Minecraft. Good lahd, give me back my soul!

So ever since it was linked on Three Panel Soul I've been hooked to Minecraft. What is Minecraft you ask?

Sandbox builder! Sandbox survival! Turn those sandblocks into glassblocks adventure!

Silliness aside, the world is your oyster. Build in it as you please. Two game modes at the moment being Creative (build build build) and Survival (build slower survive harder). The graphics aren't exactly top notch but that is really the point..it spits in the eye of superior graphics!

The real treat to Minecraft is its procedural world generation in survival modes or build whatever you damn well please! Some video examples:
Earth! (yes, it was assembled block by goddamn block. I explored it myself too!)

The goddamn Reichstag! Was slightly tweaked in honor of Notch, the game's creator.

I've mostly been dinkin about in Indev linking floating islands together while avoiding monsters and havin a grand ol' time of it!

It looked impressive, until I started playing. I immediately tried to dig out a large area, so I could build a massive pyramid, it crashed. I tried agan, this time I got as far as placig the first brick, it crashed. 3rd attempt I had almost completed the base of my 20x20 pyramid, when it crashed AGAIN!

So yeah, I think I'll reserve judgement until it actually works and I can play for more than 10 minutes.

Have you tried updating your browser and/or Java? I had a few similar problems early on like that. Updating fixed 'em right up in a jiffy.
