Other moves have their negative effects removed as well, like there's no defensive debuffs for using Close Combat, there's no rebound damage for moves like Head Smash, you won't fall asleep for using Rest, etc. etc. Got questions about it? Well, the last pokemon to use Solarbeam had to deal with charge up. *Thankfully since it was a foe.*
Anyhow, let me know when you guys are ready and I'll send something to AB. Or rather, I should make a post to submit to AB for his approval so he can post it whenever he's ready (as well as for him to input his particular style).
Also, Explosion seems to work by creating a shell shaped like the user which then has enormous amounts of energy between the user and the shell until it explodes in its blaze of glory. Hence why most pokemons that can use it have layers or shells or armors like Golem, Electrode, Metagross... but also explain why a pokemon who uses Explosion through mimic or Metronome survives. (Otherwise my Snorlax back in my Red version would have exploded in the biggest bloodbath of digested food, guts and fat when he used Metronome and randomly selected Explosion.)
