EDIT: An addendum. Pierce will follow Impact unless he has a better idea or he's been picked leader, or he's superpissed. If it helps, Pierce isn't going to be suited very well for leadership if we go the whole "Sam getting brainwashed" way. He'll be all angry and irrational.
