Just got it today... oh, jeebus, it's taking me back to the days of Zelda.
The game does have some Tiny Text Syndrome, but it's also fucking beautiful. Goofed around with the editor a bit, but I'll get to the fruits of those labors later(Read: It's not done). The game is definitely a Zelda clone, but so was Okami, so I'm not worried. More later, playing now. |

Got it today. Mucked about in the editor for about 2 minutes before I realized I had no idea what I would make even if I had the artistic talent to make it. Then I played 'til I got inside the third temple.
Saying that this game is a Zelda clone just isn't enough. It is practically Zelda re-skinned, and made by somebody other than Nintendo. It also steals some ideas from Ginormo Sword (the whole upgrading your sword's length, width, power, and other aspects). From Software didn't so much as clone Zelda as they did steal it, stuff it into a sack, cover the sack with very pretty 3D 8-Bit graphics, give the sack a giant sword, and slapped a new title on it. Do I care? Hell no, this game is awesome! Favorite moment so far has to be when I discovered the "From Cave" which had some nice references to Demon's Souls, or the one guy in town telling me that I could "pam eht nepo ot 1L sserP". I also heard a guy mention a town that had a name very similar to Corneria (I forget what the name actually was) but I'm hoping that when I get there I find a guard who's only line is "Welcome to -insert town name here-!". Oh and if you have a problem with the text, just open up the start menu, go to options, text, and change the size. Also, every moment that I'm playing it I keep seeing potential for turning it into a Let's Play, which I might do once I finish the game and find that I have a bunch of free time on my hands. The fact that you can take screen shots mid-game thanks to the in-game menu is another contributing factor.

You know, this game would be far too hilarious playing as a walking penis.
-Found white sticky stuff. -&Your name here& come! blah blah blah, theres been so many times Ive laughed at something I found or read that is too fitting if you were to make a penis and in the back of my mind, I figure someone already has. |

Holy crap this game is such a copy of Zelda. I mean It's your typical top down game but they borrow so much from Zelda and the original Dragon Warrior. I'm lovin it!

Also, FUCK YOU BLOCK DEFENSE. I mean, it's fun, but it gets crazy(and takes a long time) to get a perfect score. Considering a no-miss run in Blockout gave me a money-making-mallet, this is kinda relevant. |
