One thing that came to my mind about Pierce and Renny's comparitive "idealism"... Renny's is more about personal philosophy. Something in a way that guides his own life and choices (which kinda make sense since he's still growing up and making choices). Pierce's idealism (aside from sounding as if he was in a hollywood movie) seems a bit on the impersonal and more general idealism about what he hopes the outcome would be.

Mind you, I still think it came out sounding like it was rather out of character, so I thought Pierce was ALREADY DRUNK.

Well hollywood movies are where great speeches come from, everybody knows that.

It didn't seem out of character for me, but that's probably because I wrote it. And he's my character. I'll try to tone down the hollywoodness in future speeches, though.

What the hell would Pierce be drunk on? Three beers? Please.
