eat something with decent amounts of protein within 30 minutes of waking up on in the morning, to kickstart your metabolism.
Uh, no. High GI foods will do this, not protein.

What Lev said is technically correct too, inasmuch as not working core muscles, but it sounds like he's recommending more of a bodybuilder routine as opposed to just straight calorie burning or weightloss.
I actually stated the opposite.

No matter what you do, if you're exercising then you're burning fat, and if you burn more than you eat you will lose.
No, that's called starving. You need to first improve your metabolism so your food isn't mainly going to your body's basic needs like your neutral functioning and brain and start making your body use more and more until it can deal with unhealthy eating, at that point anyone in their early 20's can eat basically whatever they want.

So me only drinking water and low calorie drinkables and avoiding one or two meals won't do much?

Wait, your goal is to get your body using up energy unnessarily. That sounds rather irresponsible. It's not starving to eat as much as you burn, it's regular body functions.

'Cause what I've been doing is skipping breakfast, going for a relatively small lunch - if I can drink a protein shake instead of food than I will - and then have a regular dinner.

All that on top of exercising. Anyways, I'm going to head t o the pool tonight.

My eyes are going to hate me.

That might not be a good idea. At least have some fruit in the morning.

I usually only eat one-two meals a day. It's more than enough.

What I was saying was like, 100 pounds? 50 ounces of water per day. 200lb, 100oz. 5 20-oz drinks and bang.

Maybe I was wrong 'bout what Lev was saying. I dunno. But what I said is what was recommended to my wife by a nutrionist or whatever the devil they are called, in any case, someone who does this as a profession and does it well enough to keep a paying job, so I'm gonna be taking their advice given that it's working for her. :B

And Lev I mean maybe I'm wrong here but my understanding is if you take in more calories than you burn you're probably going to gain weight? A net gain doesn't sound like a good way to shed pounds.

Derp on the muscles bit, though, admitted.

Glucose index, which is a better way of measuring how fast something converts to energy.

Don't avoid meals, have more regular, healthier meals with more fiber and more water.

Fit = capable of performing tasks. If you can perform tasks better, longer and more reliably without your body having to take its reserves from other areas of the body you are more fit.
Increasing your stamina is not irresponsible.

For what? He wants his body to be like a 4.0 dual core processor to run games and shit, not check his email and run word.

Food's like coal in a furnace, don't concentrate on how much is being burned or how fast you put it in the furnace, just keep the flames hot as possible and keep stoking it.
