I'm perfectly fine with Starbucks. Granted I don't drink coffee very often, but Starbucks is a HUGE step up from Tim Hortons. In fact, getting coffee from Tim Hortons always felt like a gamble. "Will I get a fresh pot of decent coffee? Will I get the last bit of a pot? Will I get the last bit of a pot that's been sitting there for 30 minutes (even though they are supposed to dump it after 15)? Will I get a pot that has coffee sitting for 10 minutes mixed with coffee sitting for 15 minutes mixed with a little bit of fresh coffee?"
At least Starbucks is consistent. And I always drink my coffee black, so the price difference is negligible to me (it's like what, $1.40 for a medium at Tim Hortons? And at Starbucks it's $2.10 I believe) and in fact I'm okay with paying more for the consistency. |
